There are 226 base cards in Pokemon TCG Pocket's Genetic Apex expansion set. And with most players pulling at least ten cards a day (two packs), there are bound to be duplicates. If you check out the 'My Cards' section (tap the card icon on the bottom screen -- it's the second from the left), you can see your entire collection of Pocket Monsters. You can sort them by Duplicates if you want so you can see the cards you have the most of. The number in the bottom-left corner of the card signifies how many copies you have of it.

If you're wondering what you should do with Pokemon card dupes in Pokemon TCG Pocket, this guide will help you.

There's a lot of currencies thrown at you once you start your card-collecting journey in Pokemon TCG Pocket --let's teach you what it all means.

What Should You Do With Duplicate Cards in Pokemon TCG Pocket?

If you click on the cards in your collection, you will see a button that says 'Obtain Flair.' By giving up some of the copies of your card, you can add visual cosmetic flourishes to your card that show up during Pokemon battles. You also need to pay up Shinedust, obtained by completing certain missions in Pokemon TCG Pocket or by opening new card packs.

And for your duplicate rare cards, the Obtain Flair menu will give you the option to exchange your cards for Special Shop Tickets. You also need Shinedust for this. The tickets will let you buy Accessories in the shop, like special coins, sleeves, and playmats. The shop doesn't have that many items as of the time of writing, but as more updates get added over time, there are bound to be more items to buy.

Obtaining Flair for a Pokemon card will not give players any advantages during online battles -it's simply for style. It's also worth noting that trading will eventually be added to the game, so if you don't want Shop Tickets or Flair, maybe consider saving some rarer cards for trades down the road.
