Techland has shared a new Dying Light: The Beast content roadmap spanning the next 11 and a half weeks. The developer's near-term agenda includes everything from gameplay features and technical improvements to events and rewards that will arrive in Dying Light: The Beast by early January 2026.
October 18 marked the one-month anniversary of the latest Dying Light game's release. The Beast debuted to positive buzz, as reflected in its "Strong" rating on OpenCritic, derived from an average score of 81 and an 80% reviewer recommendation rate. The open-world action horror game received five updates in its first month. All of those patches were largely focused on delivering hotfixes for critical issues identified post-launch.
Dying Light: The Beast Releases a New Hotfix
A variety of gameplay tweaks and bug fixes come to Dying Light: The Beast, as part of the latest hotfix update for the newly released game.
Dying Light: The Beast Shares Its First Post-Launch Content Roadmap
With many high-priority problems addressed, Techland has now set its sights on expanding the game itself. To that end, the developer just shared its first post-release content roadmap, outlining new Dying Light: The Beast gameplay features, events, and other novelties planned to debut in the immediate future. The highlights of the agenda include a New Game Plus mode, Legend levels, and the Nightmare Difficulty.
The highly requested New Game Plus mode is expected to significantly improve Dying Light: The Beast's Legendary grind. Right now, players are likely to hit a major roadblock during the later stages of any given run because the crafting requirements for Legendaries are so high that building out a vast arsenal of high-end gear isn't feasible without incessantly farming locations. Some fans criticized this spike in material requirements as messing with the game's pacing and making it too grindy. The ability to jump into New Game Plus should alleviate such complaints, allowing players to keep working toward getting better equipment without getting stuck in highly repetitive loops.

The newly shared roadmap also includes the promise of some technical improvements, such as ray tracing support for the PC version of the game. A PUBG: Battlegrounds crossover has also been teased, adding to the ever-growing list of Dying Light collaborations. Additionally, Techland is planning to expand the game with a Nightmare difficulty and Legend levels over the coming months.
The developer hasn't attached a firm release date to any individual feature mentioned in the roadmap. However, the wording of its announcement suggests that the newly promised content will be split into several updates. While waiting for the New Game Plus mode and the rest of the roadmap's features, Dying Light: The Beast players can take part in weekly "Call of the Beast" community challenges, running through January 7. These limited-time events will offer 22 exclusive prizes and one Legendary reward in total.
