There are plenty of secrets left to uncover in Dying Light: The Beast and the Beaver's Stick, one of the many Legendary Weapons players can get in Castor Woods, is one of the most elusive and well-hidden ones. It starts by finding a Beaver's Dam in the depths of Castor Woods, and the Mysterious Stick that can be placed on it.
Players will have to collect all Mysterious Sticks and then find the Beaver's Cave if they want to get this powerful Legendary Weapon for their Zombie-slaying arsenal. This guide will reveal all the locations of these secret collectibles and how to fix the Beaver's Dam, as well as how to locate the Beaver's Cave and obtain the Beaver's Stick in Dying Light: The Beast.
How To Find The Beaver's Dam in Dying Light: The Beast
To find the Beaver's Dam and the first Mysterious Stick in Dying Light: The Beast, players need to travel to the Castor Woods River, and follow it until the extreme southwest side of the map. At the last available zone in the map, following the shore, players will spot a solitary Beaver Dam, and near it, a collectible that can be highlighted using Survivor Sense. This Mysterious Stick will be the first one players find, and in total, there are 6 (counting that), so it's time to move around a bit and fetch some wood.
All Mysterious Stick Locations in Dying Light: The Beast
- Starting from the Dam marked on the Map as '1', players should move downstream slightly to find the first stick, located close to the Beaver's Dam.
- The Next one (2) is located a little bit further down the stream, near the shore.
- For the third one, players need to cross the riverbank and follow one of the branches that heads north (3).
- The fourth one is located near the riverbank of Old Town (4).
- The Fifth will be crossing the shore of Paradise Island into the Asylum (5).
- The last one is located under the bridge that connects the Mountain region with the Farmlands and Villa Area (6).
All the locations for the Mysterious Sticks are marked on the Image above. The video showcases 5 of the 6 Spots since the first stick was already found and placed on the Dam at the moment of the recording. The location for the first Stick is the Green Rock above the Dam on the south bank of the river.
How To Get Beaver's Stick Legendary Weapon in Dying Light: The Beast
Now, players need to go back to the Dam and place every stick by using Survivor Sense until they hear a dim sound cue. After that, they should go to any of the Safe Zones and sleep until the next morning to solve the last part of this mysterious puzzle. After that, they need to come back to the Dam and they will notice the water stream has been reduced.
Climb over the Beaver Dam, then dive on the southern shore and stick to the bottom of the river. There's an underwater cave entrance hidden behind some algae, and players need to go inside and follow the tunnel until they find a Workbench and a mysterious setup. Looks like someone has been holding out on the apocalypse in this 'Beaver Cave.' Take note of the workbench and then turn around to find a sleeping spot. Interact with it and select 'Rest until night,' to enter a weird nightmare, where a Zombie Beaver will appear to attack Kyle Crane.
Attacking this enemy is useless, since it's invulnerable to regular damage. Players should pick the Beaver's Stick from the Workbench, and then equip it to kill it. Once they've done that, they can rest on the bed again to get out of the nightmare, and the blueprint for the Beaver's Stick will be unlocked for crafting. The Beaver's Stick doesn't allow Weapon Mods, but it has a 100% Chance to knock down enemies, which is brutally overpowered.
