After getting the power plant back up and running in Dying Light: The Beast, you'll then be given a quest called 'The Cable Guy.' This tasks you with heading to an electrical substation to get the power back on for the surrounding area. While it all sounds very straightforward, there is one element that can be a little confusing, and that's where you're supposed to get the power from to connect to the substation itself. In this guide, I'll explain the different steps to take so you know exactly what you need to do during 'The Cable Guy' quest in Dying Light: The Beast.

Dying Light: The Beast 'The Cable Guy' Quest Guide
First, you need to head to the electrical substation itself. This is straightforward enough, as it's a case of following the waypoint on your map. Once you get here, you'll find that the surrounding area is teeming with the undead. Before figuring out how to restore power, your best bet is to take out the enemies in and around the small substation building in the center of the screenshot above.
The first zombies to take out are the ones in the red suits that spit projectiles at you. Once these are out of the way, jump down onto the substation building and let some of the more mobile zombies come up to you. Hack them down with your preferred melee weapon.
For the big bruiser with the hammer, Molotov cocktails are a great way to take him down without having to get too close. If there are any remaining zombies in this area, you can also take them out relatively easily with a well-placed Molotov.
Now that the enemies are out of the way, start by turning around and picking the lock on the roof of the small substation building. It's an easy lock, so this shouldn't cause you too many problems, and you can always craft more lockpicks in the Crafting menu if you've run out.
With this door open, you can drop inside and grab the craftplan for the 'Flame' common tip mod, as well as a reinforced camp axe and some other valuables in a container. With the substation looted, climb back out through the hatch you opened, and look to the southeast corner of this area. Here, you'll see an electrical pylon with a small metal platform at the top of it.
To reach it, jump on the generator-looking machine in the left of the screenshot above, and then jump onto the streetlight and shimmy up the post to reach the top. From there, you can then jump over to the electrical pylon, where you'll find a cable that can be connected to the pylon and to the system inside the substation building. Jump over to the roof of the substation, drop inside, and connect the cable to the machine on the north wall. It's impossible to miss, as it's directly below the roof hatch that you enter from.
Just like that, the power will be connected, and you'll have completed 'The Cable Guy' quest in Dying Light: The Beast.
