Poppy is one of the main ingredients for many useful consumables in Dying Light: The Beast, and to get more of this rare flower, players need to collect it themselves from nature. The problem is: Where to find this Rare Ingredient? The Castor Woods map is quite big, and with so many open spaces and forestry areas, it gets difficult to pinpoint certain resources.
So, if players are looking to upgrade their Damage Boosters, or any other consumables in Dying Light: The Beast, and are in desperate need of more Poppy, check this guide that will help with collecting this resource.
Where to Farm Poppy in Dying Light: The Beast
Poppy is a plant with Red Flowers that grows in the most secluded places in Castor Woods, so it is quite hard to spot, even when using Survival Instincts to scout every area. They are used for crafting Boosters like the Damage Booster, the Regeneration Booster, or the Resistance Booster. All of these consumables are indispensable to survive in Dying Light: The Beast.
The following are a few spots where players can obtain Poppy Early during the adventure, which is considerably useful to improve their Consumables:
- The cliff overlooking the Monastery Safe Spot.
- Behind the Town Hall, on a small plot of land.
- The rooftop Garden over the Monkeys Mural, near Town Hall (there are 2 Cordyceps and 1 Lavender plant here as well).
If players need some guidance on how to pinpoint the exact locations described above, there's a full interactive map right here for them to consult. Just make sure to check it often, as it will be constantly updated with more information as our experts uncover the secrets of Castor Woods.

There are a few extra spots to farm Poppy in the Mid/Late game, and since Dying Light: The Beast's main story doesn't take too long to beat, it is important to mention that these spots become available once players reach the Farmlands and Villa area (north of Castor Woods), so here are the rest of the spots where players can get Poppy.
- Golden Pin Park, Behind Memorial Hill (near a bush full of flowers).
- Raven's Rest Farmhouse, south Exile's Cave (there's one plant growing alongside two Camomile plants and a Honey Farming Spot).
- Exile's Cave Vendor (Jenna).
Jenna the Exile's Cave vendor will most likely have 2 or 3 units of Poppy per day in her inventory. Players just need to rest at the Cave Safe Spot, then exit the game and enter again to renew Jenna's inventory and purchase all the units of this resource available. Then repeat this method over and over until they are satisfied with the quantity acquired.
Still, the sure-hit method to acquire Poppy in the endgame is to farm it from the Raven's Rest farmhouse. In this location, players can also acquire lots of useful resources for crafting, like Feathers (located inside the Chicken Coop) and Fuel (in the cars abandoned in the parking lot), as well as other crafting resources like Rags, Pigments, and Weights.
