Despite the problems it faced in development, the strong writing and fun combat of Dragon Age: Inquisition helped it stand out as one of the better games in the series. Leading the Inquisition and trying to stop Corypheus by any means necessary is a huge part of what makes the experience so memorable in the eyes of many.
It helps that the writing in Inquisition helps most of its companions feel great to use, even if others may get the short end of the stick. Even after players kill off the final threat, they're treated to a plot twist for the ages that builds up a ton of intrigue, even if players had to acquire the Trespasser DLC to witness the story's proper conclusion.
