EA has confirmed that it is shutting down four of its games on November 8, at which point the online services for those titles will cease to exist. EA keeps a running list of games it's shutting down, and unfortunately, it's updated on a fairly regular basis. While this ensures fans know well in advance when exactly EA games are shutting down, it also means that the company is shutting games down nearly every month.
There have been all kinds of EA game shutdowns in 2025 so far. The Simpsons: Tapped Out was shut down in January alongside a variety of other mobile games and Rory McIlroy PGA Tour, while a pair of UFC games were shut down in February. NCAA 14 was shut down in March, and Madden NFL 21's online was shuttered on June 30. There are even more EA shutdowns coming in the near future, with an additional four titles going on the chopping block November 8.
EA Game Shutting Down on October 20
Unfortunately, EA confirms that it is shutting down the online servers for yet another one of its games this year.
EA has confirmed that it is shutting down Dirt 3, Dirt Showdown, Grid Autosport, and Grid 2 on November 8. On that day, fans of those games will no longer be able to access their online multiplayer features, effectively making it impossible to fully experience the games. November 8 is less than two months away from the time of this writing, so anyone interested in playing the online multiplayer for these games will want to make it a point to do so ASAP.

Dirt 3, Dirt Showdown, Grid Autosport, and Grid 2 aren't the only EA games shutting down in November. It was also recently confirmed that EA Sports FC Empires is shutting down on November 30. EA Sports FC Empires is a mobile game that was only released in certain regions, so its removal won't sting quite as much, but it's still disappointing whenever any game is shut down.
EA fans will also want to make note of the games shutting down in October. NHL 21 is shutting down on October 6, while Need for Speed: Rivals will be ceasing its online multiplayer support on October 7. Finally, Madden NFL 22 and FIFA 23 are shutting down on October 20 and October 30, respectively.
