Andrea Natali is also a fantastic prospect for those who are in a position to play him regularly right from the get-go.

The Best Young Center Backs for a Mid-Table Team in EA FC 26 Career Mode

Mid-table teams should go out and sign Luka Vuskovic and Finn Jeltsch as soon as they can. Both players start out with a 72 rating and have the potential to hit 87, if all goes well. El Chadaille Bitshiabu can also hit 87, although he boasts a slightly higher starting rating, which may prove appealing to those playing in one of the more competitive leagues.

Having not even appeared on last year's list, it's a little strange to see Dean Huijsen sitting pretty at the top of this year's list just twelve months later. Madrid's new signing has the potential to reach 89 in this year's installment, as too does Piero Hincapie, who Arsenal signed from Leverkusen in the summer transfer window. Although Pacho and Saliba offer much higher starting ratings, Castello Lukeba may be more appealing to players who prefer to nurture potential rather than pay a premium for the finished article.
