While the FIFA and now EA Sports FC games are generally regarded as the best football/soccer games on the market, it has always been said that they don't change enough between installments, with progress instead occurring over the years.
5 Things Football Manager 26 Has To Do After Football Manger 25's Cancellation
Football Manager 25's cancellation devastated many fans, with many concerned about the future what does Football Manager 26 have to get right?
In terms of the upcoming EA Sports FC 26 title, there are still many features that players would like to see, as well as some areas that need to be improved in quality. Although development is likely nearing the end with key features locked, players can still hope for new features in FC 26 or later games in the series.
7 Better Commentary
FC 25 Commentary Feels Vague & Too Repetitive
Compared with the old FIFA games when Martin Tyler and Alan Smith were the game's chief commentators, FC 25 is simply not up to scratch, and this is not necessarily due to any shortcomings of the current commentary teams.
The dialogue is too vague, generic, and unreactive, with commentary lines feeling as if they could apply to any shot or play. There also aren't enough lines, which means the commentary is repetitive. In career mode, there isn't enough discussion about how teams are doing or a striker having a particularly good season, racking up an impressive goal tally. Reactions to teams on meteoric rises up the leagues would also be great
6 More Third Kits & Goalkeeper Kits
This Would Add To The Immersion & Be Great For Rags-To-Riches Career Modes
While those on PC can use mods for FC 25 to add more third kits and goalkeeper kits for more obscure or lower leagues, these can be messed up by updates, are reliant on the hard work of modders, and most importantly, aren't available to those on consoles.
EA FC 25: 11 Cheapest 90-Rated Players, Ranked
90-rated players in EA Sports FC 25 are not myths, nor are they exclusive to rich players.
If the base game of FC 26 were to add more kits in general, Career Mode in particular would be more immersive in the lower leagues, where many players like to start their journey. There's nothing worse than seeing a League One goalkeeper in a generic kit or knowing your team has a banging third kit, which unfortunately is not available. These absences are even worse after climbing to the Premier League, for example.
5 The Ability To Edit Formations Again
Create Niche or Lop-Sided Formations
While custom tactics and player roles are great in FC 25, and players do have plenty of flexibility to determine how the team plays in possession, it would be even better to once again have the ability to edit formations by moving players around and create custom formations.
This could allow players to create wacky formations that may or may not work, but they shouldn't be limited by the preset formations, as this is not the case in real football.
4 Better Designs & Options For Create-A-Club Badges
They Are Severely Limited In FC 25, & Can Only Have One Color
While the options for designing kits for Create-a-Club are fairly good, with many real templates from brands such as Nike and Adidas, the options for badges/crests are incredibly disappointing. Only one color can be chosen from a limited selection, and aside from color, there is no way to customize the existing templates.
These templates are too simple, often just featuring footballs or the FC logo, so even if players have made a nice kit, it will likely be ruined by the badge. This needs serious improvements for future installments in the series, as the badge is shown everywhere in Career Mode.
3 Better Live Starts In Career Mode
More Leagues & Faster Implementation Of Dates
Live start points in Career Mode were a great addition to FC 25, allowing players to start with teams partway through the season, for example, to save them from relegation. However, this feature can be further improved and expanded on for FC 26 and beyond. First of all, live start dates in FC 25 were only available for a select number of leagues, such as the English leagues and the top leagues for Italy, Germany, and Spain.
Additionally, the live data was only applied to the league of choice. For example, if players started at the end of the season in the Championship, the doomed Premier League sides of Southampton, Ipswich, and Leicester might not necessarily be relegated, with the season instead being simulated from the beginning. Lastly, the addition of new live start dates was slow to take up at first, frustrating players who wanted to jump in at specific parts of the season as surprises unfolded.
2 Reworked Press Conferences
More Engaging Questions That Are Less Repetitive
Currently, press conferences in FC 25 get boring very fast with the same questions being asked over and over, sometimes not even making sense. Reporters only ask about individual players, and the manager should simply praise the player or motivate them to increase their happiness.
How to Save Almost Every Penalty in EA Sports FC 25
If players have good reactions and a good keeper, they can use a certain technique to save most penalties in FC 25.
Press conferences could be so much more, with difficult questions that perhaps make the manager choose between two players. The manager could then have the option to refuse to answer any questions, but at the cost of losing attention from the media, reducing the club's attractiveness. Questions about how the team is doing in general, about rivals, and even potential signings could add more variety, too.
1 Youth Players Growing Older
Currently, They Always Look Young Throughout Their Career
Considerable improvements were made to the academy system, with users now able to test out and train their youth players in Rush tournaments, and teams are able to scout in more countries.
However, at the end of the day, these youth players retain the same face even 10 seasons down the line. This takes away from the immersion, especially for those who focus on producing talent or signing young stars from other teams. Aging is a feature in many other games where characters are made or randomly generated, so it wouldn't be impossible to implement.
