EA Sports UFC 5 is still the only game for fans of mixed martial arts, ready to test their fighting skills inside the Octagon. The game continues to be supported with updates to the ever-expanding roster. It also adds new venues like the Las Vegas Sphere. You can alter EA Sports UFC 5's settings to tailor the experience to your liking. Looking for an intense simulation for a realistic fight, or something more fast-paced and arcade-like? Change some settings and find out what you like best.

Most modes require you to manage your fighter's stamina during a fight. Running out of stamina causes your fighter's techniques to slow, and you will receive more damage from incoming strikes. Your fighter will also be easier to take down and submit as you won't be able to effectively fight back. Thankfully, you can enable a Stamina Bar on your onscreen HUD. This can aid you in managing your fighter's stamina and teach you their limits. Continue reading this guide to learn how to turn on the Stamina Bars in EA Sports UFC 5, and which type you may prefer.

Enable the Fighter HUD

Go to settings on the main menu of EA Sports UFC 5. Click on the Game Style settings. Here is where you can tweak the simulation aspects down to individual sliders . You can change the Game Style to make large changes and determine how realistic the fights will be. Tweaking the settings below will change the Game Style to Custom. Finalizing your settings from the main menu will apply them to every game mode.

Scroll down to find the Fighter HUD. Set the Fighter HUD to On or Dynamic to enable visible Stamina Bars in EA Sports UFC 5.

Fighter HUD Dynamic/On Advantages

Both versions of the Fighter HUD will give you valuable information during a fight. The Dynamic option is less obtrusive. This version of the HUD always displays the Stamina Bar. Taking damage and attacking while stamina is low will drain the meter so it does not fully recover. Small symbols will appear underneath it, indicating cuts and damage. The health bars for your fighter's various body parts will only appear once they've received significant damage.

When the Fighter HUD is set to On, all of your fighter's stamina/health bars will be present on screen. It can be distracting in a fight, but very useful in practice mode. Playing certain multiplayer fight modes will still disable all Fighter HUD elements regardless of your personal settings.
