How to Craft Sails in Echoes of Elysium

Echoes of Elysium is an interesting survival crafter where players live, fight, and explore on board a fully craftable Airship. And the very first step to get into this awesome adventure is to craft Sails. The problem is that the game doesn't explain all too well what steps are required to add them to the ship, and this happens in the first minutes of the adventure.

How to Unlock Sails Blueprint in Echoes of Elysium

The first step to craft a Sail in Echoes of Elysium is to unlock the Invention Desk and Makeshift Airship Pieces recipes, which are automatically unlocked upon gathering the following resources: Wood, Plant Fiber, Liftium Shards, and Broken Parts.

Players will have all of those resources in the floating stone islets around the starting zone, and they can also acquire them by using the glider (hold jump - Spacebar) since there are remains of Liftium and other materials in small clouds floating in the air.

Now, go back to the ship, and build a Makeshift Deck structure, making sure to leave a space for the Invention Desk. Players then need to place the Invention Desk over the Makeshift structure, and cover it with a curved Makeshift Airship part to fulfill the use conditions: It must be under a roof.

Interact with the Invention Desk and unlock the recipes for the Crafting Bench and Crude Sail. Now, players need to repeat the process with the Crafting Bench (place it, cover it with a roof), then interact with it to create Burlap Cloth and Burlap Rope using Plant Fibers. Then, craft a Strut using Broken Parts.

With all the elements ready, it's time to craft their first Sail using:

1x Strut
2x Burlap Cloth
2x Burlap Rope
2x Wood

Place it over the hull of the ship and make sure it doesn't collide with any workbench or structure or It's going to take damage every time it opens and closes.

Remember: The game is still in Early Access, so there are going to be lots of collision damage interactions and similar issues. The Airship structures are extremely sensitive to collision with other structures, and Floating Mines completely obliterate a Makeshift Airship, so be careful.

With the sail already placed, it's time to explore the devastated lands of Echoes of Elysium, and the first step in their journey is to look for the Lighthouse and the Dry Dock, which is located north of the starting point. Just go straight ahead from the spawning point at the maximum possible speed, making sure not to crash into the floating stones or trigger a floating mine.
