The Cryptic Cavern mini-dungeon in Zelda: Echoes of Wisdom won't take too long to complete, but its various puzzles still might stump some players. This guide will take readers through the rooms of the dungeon so they can work towards completing the main quest: A Rift in the Gerudo Desert.

The Fireworks Artist is a side quest in Zelda: Echoes of Wisdom that you'll need to complete for another side quest in Hyrule.

Cryptic Cavern Walkthrough - Echoes of Wisdom Guide

Entrance

Once you enter the Crpytic Cavern from the Gerudo Desert, you'll be met with a glowing blue switch and a locked door. Go ahead and bust out the Tornando Echo (they're all around the desert) and shoot it at the switch to activate it, opening the door in the process.

You'll need to learn the Tornando Echo to complete the Tornado Ghost side quest in Gerudo Town.

Second Room

In the next room, you'll see a locked door that needs a Small Key. Head to the right for now and get to the door on the far-right. If you need help getting past the wind cannons, we just placed some beds in front of them.

Third Room

In this next room, there will be some enemies to fight and several piles of sand (as well as a locked door). Defeat the monsters and the locked door will open. Head through it.

Fourth Room

In this larger room, there's a switch on the left side near some spinning spiked monsters. You need to make it over there and use the Tornando Echo, like we did at the entrance, to hit the switch.

Once it's activated, a small chest will appear on the opposite side of the wall, and it has a Small Key inside. This is what we'll use to open the locked door back in the "second" room. And once you open it, you'll find a lonely room with a simple staircase leading down.

There are three major Zelda: Echoes of Wisdom Amiibo rewards you can unlock as well as the chance to get Smoothie and Monster materials.

Down the Stairs

This will take you to a 2D section. There's a switch behind a locked gate on the right, but we can't do anything with that just yet. For now, go down the ladder and go past the spinning blade enemy. We found that the easiest way to get past the first one is to just jump on top of it once it goes right (or just conjure a pot and toss it at the Pathblade).

You can break that pot to the left of the second Pathblade to find a hidden Fairy, which can be put into a Fairy Bottle to keep for later.

To grab the chest that's further down the area, you can simply stand across from it and press X to use Bind. Pull the chest down to the ground, and then you can walk up to it and open it to find 20 Rupees.

Proceed to the area on the right to find a couple of more Pathblades and piles of sand. Just keep climbing the ladders, but once you get to the point where there's a large gap between you and the last ladder, try to Bind yourself to a Tornando, like we did in the image above.

Just keep going right, and you'll eventually find a huge stone structure that you can pull using your Bind skill (X). This will finally drain the sand that was blocking access to the Gerudo Sanctum, the next major dungeon in Echoes of Wisdom. If you need a walkthrough for it, we have you covered.

Instead of going down the ladder to the previous areas you went through, just go up the ladder on the left to find that switch/locked gate we saw when we initially came into the 2D section.
