Elden Ring: Best Weapons In Caelid

In Elden Ring, the Shattering plunged most of The Lands Between into chaos and war. Caelid, the domain of General Rahdan, was engulfed and devastated by Scarlet Rot. Now home to many dangerous creatures, the Tarnished can explore its rotted swamps and abandoned ruins and find treasures and weapons to help them in their quest to become Elden Lord.

Although players will come across many weapons throughout their adventures in Elden Ring, it's beneficial to keep one's eyes peeled for these items in Caelid. The Tarnished may end up keeping them for quite some time.

Caelid is a dangerous zone that players can access early in the game, but it is generally not worth exploring until the Tarnished is at least level 60. Still, this region has many exciting armaments to offer if players know where to look. This list has been expanded with several new entries, including additional weapon stats for easy comparison among some of the best weapons found in Caelid.

15 Venomous Fang

A Rare Poison Weapon With Very Low Requirements

Venomous Fang is one of the rare poison weapons in Elden Ring, making it a valuable addition to any player's collection. It has a moderate poison build-up of 72 and the Deadly Poison ability. This ability doubles (or triples if poison-infused) the amount of poison damage against enemies, though it reduces poison damage duration. These claws also have one of the lowest Str and Dex requirements among all melee weapons.

The Venomous Fang is found in the Abandoned Cave in Caelid, one of the most dangerous early to mid-game areas due to its tricky entrance location and its almost completely rot-covered grounds. The weapon is located in a room behind a Giant Poison Flower.

14 Flamberge

Looks Amazing With Bloodflame

Aside from its passive blood loss build-up and a unique one-handed sweeping heavy attack, Flamberge is a traditional greatsword. It deals standard and pierce damage with a versatile moveset and long reach, making it best suited for blood and occult builds. Many players also love how cool Flamberge looks with the Bloodflame Blade.

Players can find Flamberge in Redmane Castle up on the rampart, where it is guarded by a Pumpkin Head. Be cautious though, as this Greatsword isn't obtainable during the Radahn Festival. The player should get it either before the festival starts, or after killing General Radahn and reloading the area.

13 Partisan

Fan-Favorite Spear With Classy, Stylish Looks

Partisan is a strong spear with a wide tip, ideal for both sweeping and thrusting through enemies within range. Its Impaling Thrust Weapon Skill is excellent for dealing substantial damage from a distance, and the spear's moveset is notably fast. One advantage of this weapon is its very quick jumping light attack, which has good range and can be very useful against certain bosses.

Players can find the Partisan in several regions, including Caelid, once they've reached Fort Gael. The Redmane Knight there can be farmed until this weapon drops. Alternatively, this spear is also obtainable by farming Cuckoo Knights near the East Raya Lucaria Gate or Leyndell Knights in Leyndell, Royal Capital.

12 Regalia of Eochaid

Marais' Smaller Twin, With The Same Devastating Skill

The copper coloration of this beautiful blade is not to be confused with rust, and its effective Eochaid's Dancing Blade skill is one of the most damaging for melee weapons in the entire game. This straight sword has a fast moveset, especially when powerstancing with another short sword. Its only notable downside is its short range for standard attacks and Weapon Skills.

The Regalia of Eochaid can be obtained through several methods in Elden Ring. The intended path is to defeat the boss inside Gaol Cave, which unlocks the entrance to the area with this sword. However, players may also get this weapon early in Limgrave by making precise Torrent jumps on the cliffs near the Third Church of Marika by the beach.

11 Godslayer's Greatsword

Remarkable Design With An Exclusive And Strong Skill

This sacred sword deals not holy but decent fire damage, and its unique appearance of two coils emanating from the hilt isn't its only advantage. The Godslayer's Greatsword also boasts a unique moveset with various combos and fast attack speed. Finally, its exclusive Weapon Skill, The Queen's Black Flame, was fixed in the latest patch 1.12 and now works as intended, applying hyperarmour (adds poise) to the wielder.

Players who want to wield this sword should note that the Godslayer's Greatsword is quite difficult to obtain in Elden Ring. It is found in a chest behind the Godskin Apostle's boss arena in the Divine Tower of Caelid (descending through platforming is required). The boss must be defeated to acquire this weapon.

10 Meteorite Staff

A Simple, Powerful Gravity Staff For Almost Any Build

This item is the best early game staff with excellent Int scaling at S and high sorcery scaling. Its ability to boost gravity spells, however, makes the Meteorite Staff a solid choice specialty when paired with the rock sling and meteorite of Astel spells. Furthermore, the Meteorite Staff passive effect still works even if it's not on the main hand, allowing players to use a stronger staff later on and still have the buff.

9 Cross Naginata

A Deadly Blood Weapon With Great Range

The Cross-Naginata is a unique spear that combines slashes and thrusts in its basic combo. This exceptional weapon stands out as one of the rare spears in Elden Ring with innate blood loss build-up that can be further enhanced when infused with Ashes of War, making it quite versatile. Additionally, it has the second-highest base damage among the spears, allowing it to hit harder than most. It also boasts an impressive range, enabling players to safely inflict hemorrhage build-up through poke attacks from afar.

But that's not all of this weapon's advantages. It also has excellent scaling, especially at later upgrades. The spear is not excessively concealed, and players can quickly locate it in the Gael Tunnel, specifically in the cavern inhabited by a Giant Land Octopus.

8 Meteoric Ore Blade

Best Against Many Surrounding Enemies

Scaling with Int, Str, and Dex, this katana is one of the best Int weapons for a hybrid spell-casting build. Unfortunately for casters, this weapon scales more with Str, so it's not for builds that rely heavily on casting spells. However, this is the right weapon for players to focus on physical combat. Additionally, as a katana, it has innate bleed, allowing players to stack bleed build-up.

The Meteoric Ore Blade also deals some magic damage on the side, making it useful against enemies weak against magic. Furthermore, the weapon's charged heavy attack is powerful and can stagger most enemies in one to two hits. The katana can be found in the Caelid Waypoint Ruins, which players can access via the Caelid Highway South.

7 Moonveil

A Powerful Katana That's Fun To Use

The battle mage's best friend, the Moonveil, is like a twin brother of the Meteoric Ore Blade. It has excellent scaling from Int and Dex at B when +10, making it perfect for a build focusing on casting spells. Additionally, as a katana, it has an innate bleed build, increasing its damage output even more.

However, the real power of this weapon comes from its unique Weapon Skill: Transient Moonlight. This skill makes players enter a stance that allows them to make a horizontal slash that shoots a short-ranged projectile forward with the light attack, while the heavy attack does a vertical slash that fires a mid-range projectile. The heaviest sword in Elden Ring, the Greatsword or the Guts Sword, is the king of infusible colossal swords. It can deal massive damage, especially when infused with fire, and has the highest guard boost value among its weapon class. It is also the longest colossal sword, giving a sweet reach advantage to an already excellent weapon.

It can also be found early in the game, allowing players to take advantage of this great sword immediately as long as they meet the Str requirement while two-handing it. The Greatsword can be looted from the chest in a caravan traveling the Caelid Highway.
