In addition to a new world, new armor sets, new Ashes of War, and new Talismans, Elden Ring: Shadow of the Erdtree DLC brings with it a whole host of new weapons for players to try out. Not only are there eight brand-new weapon types, but there are also additional weapons for old types.
Igon is a quest NPC who can be found early on near Castle Ensis. Igon's Greatbow is his weapon of choice, which pairs best with Igon's Harpoon (Greatarrow). Both can be obtained by players fairly easily in the game. Here is how to get them.

Igon's Greatbow Overview: Stat Requirements, Effects, & Skill
Weapon of Igon, the broken drake warrior. A greatbow fashioned from two dragon bones bound with coarse rope. Covered in gashes left by claws. Imbued with Igon's obsession, enhancing the power of Igon's Harpoon.
In Elden Ring: Shadow of the Erdtree, Igon's Greatbow is a new weapon of the Greatbow weapon type. Weighing at 12.5, the Greatbow has a base damage of 125 but enhances the damage of Igon's Harpoon (Greatarrow) when it is fired with this bow. Without Igon's Harpoon, Igon's Greatbow falls a little short in term of damage compared to the
Golem Greatbow, but with it, the it direclty doubles the output, making it incredible for sniping.
The Igon's Greatbow can be upgraded using Smithing Stones to +25, and can/cannot benefit from spell-based or consumable weapon buffs.

Igon's Greatbow Weapon Skill:
The Igon's Greatbow Ash of War is Igon's Drake Hunt. It charges up the arrow, until a breaking point is reached before letting it loose. It increases the damage output nearly twofold. It's technically stronger than Through and Through but doesn't penetrate the target, making it entirely single target. Unlike most other Greatbows, players can change the Ash of War on this weapon. The only other two Ashes of War for Greatbows that are currently in the game are
Ash of War: Through and Through and
Ash of War: Rain of Arrows.
This weapon skill costs 9 FP to cast, and can/cannot be charged to increase damage. This charging costs 9 FP as well.
Skill of Igon, drake warrior. Ready the bow before unleashing a twisted shot with a great bellow that considerably enhances its power.
Where To Find Igon's Greatbow and Igon's Harpoon
To get Igon's Greatbow and Igon's Harpoon in Shadow of the Erdtree, there are two possible paths players can take:
- Complete Igon's Questline: Igon's quest is related to his past with Bayle the Dread. It is fairly linear in nature and shouldn't take you very long to reach its conclusion. The main difficulty with this is that it requires players to defeat Bayle with Igon's help at the end. This can be incredibly difficult depending on how many Scadutree Fragments you've collected. To learn how to complete Igon's quest, read the in-depth guide.
- Kill Igon: If killed, Igon drops his entire armor set alongside his Greatbow and Bell Bearing, just like if you completed his quest without the hassle of defeating Bayle. He is very weak and can barely put up a fight, making this fairly easy. Note that if you talk to Igon at the Pillar Path Waypoint Site of Grace, he will relocate to the Foot of the Jagged Peak, just past the Jagged Peak Drake duo boss arena. You can kill him at either location, and he will drop the rewards.
Whichever method you end up using, you will obtain Igon's entire armor set as well as the following items:
The Greatbow can be used right away, but to get the Harpoons, talk to the
Twin Maiden Husks at
Roundtable Hold and offer Igon's Bell Bearing to purchase Igon's Harpoon from her (one Greatarrow for 1000 Runes).
