Surviving in the harsh environments of the Lands Between is a tough task, not to mention when every region is filled with hostile humanoids and creatures that want to kill the player. Aside from normal enemies, there are also hostile NPCs in Elden Ring that invade the player in different areas of the game, removing the protagonist from horseback to face them.
Elden Ring: 27 Easiest Bosses
Not all Elden Ring bosses are created equal; here are the easiest ones that players can take on.
Every NPC invader is unique from one another in the way they look and fight. Their combat styles resemble that of an online player, making some of them quite hard to beat. That said, some of these invasive NPCs are harder to defeat than others.
7 Nameless White Mask
The Nameless White Mask might be the oddball on the list. This is mainly because of how they appear later in the game, thus having the player be high-leveled and much experienced in the combat by that point.
However, this does not change the fact that there are three Nameless White Masks in a singular area in Mohgwyn Palace. The area is filled with Giant Crows' enemies, which makes this a much harder invasion than it should be. Dealing with all the White Masks while also avoiding the enemies in the area can be tricky.
Where To Find Nameless White Mask
Nameless White Masks are located in the Mohgwyn Dynasty Mausoleum. All three of the White Masks are not very far apart. A thing to note is that if the player has killed Mohg, Lord of Blood, then these invasions will not occur.
6 Festering Fingerprint Vyke
Vyke can be considered one of the hardest Invaders or could be easy to kill depending on the player's luck. Vyke has a huge arsenal of Frenzy Incantations that he uses to build Madness on the player.
Every Incantation Vyke has can incapacitate the player if the Madness bar fills up, allowing Vyke to follow up with his War Spear, which has great range. However, in some cases, he might use his War Spear more than the Incantations, allowing the player to take advantage and defeat him with ease.
Where To Find Festering Fingerprint Vyke
Festering Fingerprint Vyke is located right before the Church of Inhibition in Liurnia of the Lakes.
5 Anastasia, Tarnished-Eater
Anastasia, Tarnished Eater is a recurring NPC invader who makes it her job to deal with the Tarnished. She wields a Butcher Knife that packs a punch from an absurd range.
The first interactions against her can be frustrating, as getting hit once by her can bring her closer, allowing her to follow with Wild Strikes that can stun-lock the player.
Where To Find Anastasia, Tarnished-Eater
Anastasia appears in three locations in Elden Ring. She is located near the Smoldering Church in Caelid and Corpse-Stench Shack at Mt. Gelmir. Lastly, her final interaction will be in the Consecrated Snowfield.
4 Juno Hoslow, Knight of Blood
Juno Hoslow is one of the hostile NPCs that the player must invade. However, to be able to invade him, one must complete all contracts of the Volcano Manor.
Juno carries with him two whips that deal high damage and cause Hemorrhage to build up. To try to avoid attacks, Juno will often use Bloodhound's Step, which allows him to dash away or toward the player. He is quite a fast enemy who tries to attack using his whips and dash out to safety. Getting hits in can become frustrating for some build users.
Where To Find Juno Hoslow, Knight of Blood
Juno Hoslow is located in the Mountaintops of the Giants near the Shack of the Lofty.
3 Bloody Finger Okina
Bloody Finger Okina is the Katana-wielding Samurai who slices his foes with the famous Rivers of Blood. Okina is one of the most sought-after invasions, purely because he drops his Katana.
He inflicts Hemorrhage build-up, which takes out a huge chunk of the player's health bar. He also makes use of Corpse Piler, a skill for Rivers of Blood, which projects streams of blood, massively increasing Hemorrhage to proc and simultaneously dealing decent damage.
Where To Find Bloody Finger Okina
Bloody Finger Okina can be located outside of the Church of Repose in Mountaintops of the Giants.
2 Mad Tongue Alberich
One of the hardest NPC Invaders has to be Mad Tongue Alberich. Alberich makes use of a Scythe that builds up Hemorrhage and Frostbite onto the player.
Being accessible early on in the game makes him much harder as the player will not have a high health pool, and the negative status effects can quickly melt through their health bar. The Scythe has a very long reach, allowing Alberich to hit the player with ease, followed up by the Sword Dance skill or the Freezing Mist.
Where To Find Mad Tongue Alberich
Mad Tongue Alberich is located inside the Roundtable Hold. Jumping down the balcony and running towards the door in the distance will trigger the invasion.
1 Preceptor Miriam
Preceptor Miriam, without a doubt, is the most difficult NPC Invader to deal with. Miriam might not be the strongest NPC in the game, but she can be frustrating to fight against.
The fact that the area is filled with Spirit Ashes enemies that the player has to deal with, along with the constant Loretta's Greatbow from Miriam, makes it even more challenging. She keeps her distance from the player and teleports away after getting hit a few times.
Where To Find Preceptor Miriam
Preceptor Miriam is located inside Carian Study Hall in Liurnia of the Lakes. The player can simply make their way up the stairs to fight her. Using the Carian Inverted Statue opens up another area where Miriam reappears.
