Although having two or more powerful combat skills on your weapon guarantees decent damage against different types of enemies, sometimes utility abilities are much more essential. After all, with the ability to deal a lot of damage in a narrow area, the only thing you can want for is to gather all the enemies in one place, and Gravitas is one of the best abilities in Elden Ring to do this. In addition, this skill works at a great distance and is especially effective against flying opponents.

The good news is that players can obtain Gravitas in several ways, namely as a separate Ash of War and the default weapon skill. However, in addition to your preferences, the choice will depend on how far along the plot you have managed to move.

All Ways To Get Gravitas Skill in Elden Ring

Ash of War: Gravitas and Meteoric Ore Blade in Elden Ring

Players can obtain Gravitas Skill in Elden Ring in two ways:

  • Find Ash of War: Gravitas in the east of Limgrave and apply the ability to your favorite weapon.
  • Find a Meteoric Ore Blade that has this skill default.

If you want to find Ash of War: Gravitas, you're in luck, as you can get it quite early in the story, and here's how to do it:

  • First, you only need to go to the southern part of Limgrave along the central road leading to the Bridge of Sacrifice. However, before reaching this point, you should turn west once you reach Agheel Lake South Site of Grace.
  • Go to the southwestern corner of this location and, having reached the Seaside Ruins, carefully go down the slope to a small beach.
  • Here, players can encounter the Lesser Alabaster Lord, a slow enemy with powerful close-range attacks. Players focused on ranged combat will have no problem killing this creature at almost any level. At the same time, melee warriors can easily defeat it from behind.
  • Once you defeat this creature, you can loot Ash of War: Gravitas from its corpse.

The second way to get Gravitas is as the default skill Meteoric Ore Blade. Players can find this sword in the southwestern part of Caelid. To do this, you only need to get to the Caelid Waypoint Ruins, which is located along the road northwest of the Caelid Highway South Site of Grace. Having reached the desired location, you must go to its central part and, bypassing the monsters, enter a small crypt. Continue down the corridor and open the stone door, after which you can pick up the Meteoric Ore Blade from the small chest.

Gravitas Skill Explained

Gravitas Skill in Elden Ring

Regardless of how you get the Gravitas skill, its effectiveness speaks for itself. With this skill, when you stick your sword into the ground, you pull all enemies in a large radius to one point in front of you.

This effect also causes negligible damage, enough to kill birds and other small creatures with one hit, which can be helpful for farming consumables. However, this one is almost negligible on more dangerous enemies, so treat it as nothing more than a utility ability. Additionally, due to the gravity effect, this ability is incredibly effective against flying enemies, as it simply throws them to the ground.
