Elden Ring has lots of status effects that can be built up in various ways to hinder players in already difficult battles or while exploring the open world. The Frenzy-Flaming Tower is one of those locations that will cause players to build up Madness if they get too close.
The Frenzy-Flaming Tower is located in the northern region of
Liurnia of the Lakes. While this area is optional, players will need to get past this tower to reach the Frenzied Flame Village just to the south of the tower. This tower will quickly build up Madness and take out players before they can get past it, but there is a way to disable it to make things much easier.
The Best Incantations In Elden Ring
For Tarnished warriors running Faith as a primary or secondary talent in Elden Ring, these are the best Incantations in Elden Ring.
How To Approach the Frenzy-Flaming Tower
The best method to disabling and getting past the Frenzy Flaming Tower is to come from the north by starting at the
Grand Lift of Dectus Site Of Grace. As the player gets closer, the tower will occasionally flare up with a ball of orange fire and cause a build-up of Madness in the player, but only if there is a line of sight.
Dealing With Madness Build-up on Approach
The key to getting past the tower is to be on Torrent and move quickly from cover to cover. Players will also need to be able to deal with Madness build-up, which requires
Clarifying Boluses. These can be crafted with the following:
While there is a dirt path leading up to the tower, stick to the right side closer to the mountain's base. Along this side will be multiple large rocks players can hide behind to break the line of sight and cause the fire to despawn and combat any built-up Madness. Some of the rocks are smaller and will require players to quickly jump off of Torrent and crouch in order to avoid Madness. There will be multiple large rats hidden along the path that will not only knock players out of cover but also cause Madness themselves.
Inside The Frenzy-Flaming Tower
The inside of the tower will mostly be destroyed and hollow, meaning the Frenzied-Flame can still spawn and target the player unless they stand directly underneath the floorboards above. Also, beware of the additional large rats right on the inside of the base of the tower.
On the top platform of the tower will be six frenzied villagers that will attack you. Quickly kill all six villagers to keep them from spawning the Frenzied-Flame. Once these villagers are killed once, they won't respawn ever, and the Frenzy-Flaming Tower will forever be silent.
