How to Find and Use Ash of War: Determination

Ash of War: Determination can be found after entering the Limgrave region. Once in the area, players need to move northeast of Agheel Lake. Here, they will come across a bridge banding over the river below. Towards the left of this bridge, players will find a Teardrop Scarab. Like all scarabs, this one needs to be killed quickly, or else it will disappear from the area.

It is important to note that the area is filled with enemies. If a player is new to the game, they should be careful when approaching the scarab. There are two enemies in the region, and directly aiming for the scarab may trigger them. So it is better to sneak up on them as they rest by the campfire and eliminate them one after the other. However, this can be a bit challenging as scarabs keep rolling away. The best option is to use a long-range weapon to catch and kill the scarab. After killing the scarab, players can obtain the Ash of War: Determination.

How to Use Ash of War: Determination in Elden Ring

Ash of War: Determination can be used to upgrade all melee weapons and give weapons the Determination skill. It can significantly power up the Tarnished’s attacks, so it would be a good idea to equip it and buff up the weapon before boss fights. The effect of Determination lasts for either 10 seconds or until the first attack is dealt.

Apart from melee weapons, it’s compatible with Straight Swords, Greatswords, Daggers, Curved Greatswords, Spears, Flails, Greatspears, Reapers, and various other weapons

The skill cost for this Ash of War is 10 FP, and if the player chooses to sell it, they’ll get 300 runes for it. To equip it, gamers should go to the ‘Ashes of War’ menu while resting at a Site of Grace.
