Elden Ring might have been released a few months ago, but the game is still going strong among its community of players. Among the most popular aspects of Elden Ring is the character creator, with one player using the tool to create a Doppelganger of one of the most famous musicians in history.
There are actually several reasons why Elden Ring has been as popular as it has been since its launch. There's a massive world for adventurers to check out. There are the various monsters and enemies that players will have to battle through in order to win the game. And there's the fact that the character creator tool is so advanced and detailed that it doesn't appear there's any limit to the kind of heroes people can make. Sometimes their heroes are movie, television, and comic book characters. Sometimes they are making duplicates of actors or musicians and putting them in the middle of this fanciful world.
Reddit user oEmersonKs has made quite a bit of use of the Elden Ring creation tool since the game launched. One of his most recent characters appears to be none other than a recreation one of the biggest superstars of music history in Michael Jackson. The users posted a couple of pictures of this new work, showing one version of Jackson with his long hair down and another with the hair tucked up a bit.
It turns out that making real people has become more popular over the last few months. Originally characters like Spawn and Hellboy were all the rage, mainly because it seemed like it would be fun to have that kind of character fighting through the world of Elden Ring. However, getting real people like Benedict Cumberbatch, Johnny Depp, or even Michael Jackson has become more prevalent, especially with users like oEmersonKs who spends quite a bit of time making different celebrities.
Once the picture was posted more than a few Redditors immediately started having a bit of fun with the creation, making jokes based on Jackson's library of work. One of the top comments was a play on the lyrics from "Smooth Criminal" where Jackson sings "Annie are you okay? Are you okay Annie?" To make it Elden Ring themed, the lyrics this time were "Maiden are you okay? Are you okay? Are you okay Maiden?"
While plenty of other Redditors made jokes about songs and other aspects of Jackson that are well known, some users simply wanted to find out the sliders that were used to they could recreate Michael Jackson on their own. One thing that has become very clear with the detail offered in the character creator is that players can make very realistic Elden Ring characters, even if they don't want to necessarily make it seem as though it's the man in the mirror.
