In 2022, many players fell in love with the story and characters of Elden Ring, and with the news that the title will be receiving its own movie adaptation, fans can look forward to engaging with that world again on the big screen. Without the difficult gameplay that Soulslikes are known for, the movie would mean that the lore of Elden Ring can be explored in depth, free of the threats faced by players in the Lands Between.
While video game movie adaptations can be hit-and-miss with fans of the games, the Elden Ring movie seems to be in good hands. Alex Garland is a huge fan of Elden Ring, reaching New Game+6, so it’s likely that his direction will be aligned with what players expect. However, to properly acknowledge the community, the movie should be careful not to omit one important cameo.

Let Me Solo Her Should Appear in the Elden Ring Movie
Who is Let Me Solo Her?
In the Elden Ring community, the player known as Let Me Solo Her has become somewhat of a legend. Wearing nothing but a Jar Helm, Let Me Solo Her was summoned by many players to single-handedly defeat one of the most difficult bosses in the base game, Malenia, Blade of Miquella. This player became a well-known figure in the community, emerging victorious against impossible odds and assisting players on their journeys to see all of Elden Ring’s content.
Let Me Solo Her’s legacy motivated others to follow, leading to their successor, LetMeSoloThem, another player donning a familiar jar. Inspired by Let Me Solo Her’s willingness to help the community reach the end of the game, LetMeSoloThem’s 10,000 victories over Elden Ring’s final boss, Radagon of the Golden Order and Elden Beast, have all been with the intent of supporting the community.
As well as helping other players to see Elden Ring’s credits, LetMeSoloThem also branched out to assist with other bosses. This includes Rellana, Twin Moon Knight, and Promised Consort Radahn, bosses from the Shadow of the Erdtree DLC that even Let Me Solo Her struggled with initially.
Let Me Solo Her’s plight to support players did not end here, though. While LetMeSoloThem targeted the endgame content, Let Me Solo Her helped defeat Messmer the Impaler, leaving their summoning sign for players to call upon them. As one of Shadow of the Erdtree’s mandatory mid-game bosses, Let Me Solo Her provided support for players to pass this early hurdle.
The Legacy of the Jarnished
After their years of guiding Elden Ring players past the game’s toughest challenges, these Jarnished players have become beacons of hope in the community. Their presence has become so notable that fans have dedicated artwork to them, and even a restaurant references Let Me Solo Her. They have become an important part of Elden Ring, and the movie should not miss the opportunity to pay tribute to these players.
These players have become so ingrained in modern gaming culture that other game series make reference to them. Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2 features a Let Me Solo Her Easter egg, recognizable by the jar covering its skull. With games even outside the Souls-like genre immortalizing the legacy of these players, the Elden Ring movie may feel incomplete without acknowledging them.
Though Let Me Solo Her has moved on to different games and more difficult challenges, they have made a positive change within the gaming community. Elden Ring, like FromSoftware’s other Soulslikes before it, is notorious for its difficulty. By offering a helping hand, players like Let Me Solo Her are aiding others to see the rest of the game’s content. This has inspired similar efforts in other games, like the Helldivers 2 player.atasu, who offers a similar service in that game.

Elden Ring Nightreign will surely have a gauntlet of grueling bosses, but players will probably still have help in some form against its toughest one.
How Let Me Solo Her Could Be Referenced
Despite being beloved members of the community, Let Me Solo Her’s repeated defeats of Elden Ring’s most difficult bosses have no true bearing on the story of the game. This doesn’t mean that they can’t be included in the movie in some capacity, though, but they are unlikely to be a major character. The adaptation needs to capture Elden Ring’s themes of hope and triumphing in the face of adversity, so having a Let Me Solo Her character face foes alone could detract from this. Instead, another character could tell the tales of a jar-wearing Tarnished, a simple nod to the player without taking away agency from the plot.
With Let Me Solo Her’s close ties to the Malenia boss fight, their inclusion in the movie may depend on Malenia’s inclusion within the story. Since she is an optional boss, how the Elden Ring movie adapts the source material may not include her in the major plot. Regardless, it is likely that she will at least get a mention, so it would feel rewarding to the community to also hear of the Jarnished player who challenged her.
Tributes to the community have become common in video game movie adaptations. The first Sonic the Hedgehog movie included a crudely drawn image of Sonic that looked identical to the "Sanic" meme, and A Minecraft Movie referenced many Minecraft YouTubers, with some having minor roles in the plot. For an Elden Ring movie to keep this tradition, Let Me Solo Her could be represented in some way.
Let Me Solo Her, and all the players they have inspired, have become integral to discussions about Elden Ring. With an Elden Ring movie adaptation in the works, making sure to include a reference to Let Me Solo Her could be what the movie needs to truly feel complete. Whether this would be as a background character or a passing mention is yet to be seen, but regardless, an acknowledgment of Let Me Solo Her within the Elden Ring movie would be the perfect homage to the legend within the community.
