Lea Seydoux
Lea Seydoux has made playing enigmatic characters a key part of her repertoire, and Ranni would be the icing on the cake. With experience in Death Stranding and Dune: Part Two, Seydoux has mastered the look of someone who will stop at nothing to achieve their goals, and her line delivery in Dune in particular just smacks of Ranni. Ranni’s manipulative nature sits right in her wheelhouse of talent, and while this list is not in any particular order, Lea Seydoux could play the ideal Ranni.

Freya Allan
Freya Allan’s role as Ciri in The Witcher TV series pretty much kick-started her career, and it would be a natural choice to make the jump to another fantasy IP. This time, though, she could turn her talents to showing more underhanded pursuits as Ranni orchestrates Godwyn’s death, and Allan’s signature cold stare could communicate Ranni’s dark intentions before she even says a word.
Jodie Comer
Those who have seen Killing Eve should see the similarities between Villanelle and Ranni, and while one might take matters into her own hands more literally, they’re both cut from the same cloth. Jodie Comer’s portrayal of the playful and deadly assassin would make her perfect for Ranni, who forms a very close bond with the Tarnished as Villanelle does with Eve, and she could have a similarly exploitative relationship in the movie, as no cost is too great for Ranni’s Age of Stars.
Zendaya
Zendaya’s rise from the Disney Channel to a serious Hollywood phenomenon has been meteoric, and she absolutely has the chops to play Ranni. As Ranni takes a very active role in the game, it's likely that the movie might want to show another angle to her, and much as the Dune movie expanded Chani’s role, Zendaya would be a great pick to show a Ranni that is less sure of herself, still finding her feet as she brushes up against the Greater WIll.
Alexandra Shipp
Don’t let Alexandra Shipp’s part in Barbie distract from how seriously she could handle Ranni. While she might not be as big a name as Zendaya, for example, the Elden Ring movie could be a great chance for a few lesser-known actors to shine in some very demanding roles, and Shipp has plenty of experience in a lot of varied parts. It would be an excellent opportunity for her to lean into a very morally questionable character, standing at odds with a few of her normal roles.
