The screenshot shows a mysterious cave located beneath the chain bridge in Elden Ring's Mountaintops of the Giants region, which can be seen from the Giants' Gravepost Site of Grace. The post gained significant attention in the community, reaching over 5.3k upvotes on Elden Ring's main subreddit, with many comments wondering whether the cave is accessible. Players claim that despite crossing this bridge dozens, or even hundreds of times, they never noticed this small cave. Another Reddit user, symbolically named CavesOfficial, confirmed that they accessed the cave using no-clip mode, but unfortunately, it appears to be empty.

Elden Ring Players Discover Mysterious Cave

Some fans have pointed out that, even though the cave ultimately proved to be a disappointment, the mere fact that players theorized about a hidden dungeon beneath the chain bridge speaks volumes about Elden Ring's exceptional world design. Players can complete both the main game and the Shadow of the Erdtree expansion without visiting some of Elden Ring's most iconic locations, such as Jarburg, the Frenzied Flame Village, the Church of Dragon Communion, and many others.

A couple of comments claim that having such a well-hidden cave or dungeon would certainly enhance the overall exploration potential of the Mountaintops. Even though the region features some great enemies, it is widely considered one of the least enjoyable locations in Elden Ring.

The Mountaintops of the Giants is one of the last regions players gain access to in the main game, meaning new players may have a harder time discovering this cave. The first step in reaching this area is defeating Morgott, the Omen King in Leyndell, Royal Capital. After Elden Ring's Omen King is defeated, Melina grants players an item called the Rold Medallion. Using this item at the Grand Lift of Rold grants access to the snow-covered Mountaintops of the Giants.
