Elden Ring Nightreign is an entirely new challenge for fans of the Souls genre of games. With the player attempting to survive three nights in the hopes of going against one of the Night Lords, unlike other titles such as the original Elden Ring, the locations of the weapons they find are randomized. With only a few inventory slots available to the player, they must think carefully about the types of weapons they wish to carry, especially as they will be expected to fight many bosses.
Elden Ring Nightreign: Best Greatswords, Ranked
There are several Greatswords available in Elden Ring Nightreign for players to make use of, but some are better than others.
Although daggers may appear like quite a weak option damage-wise, those who enjoy the Duchess are sure to favor daggers above all else due to her agility. However, keeping an eye out for the right dagger can be quite a challenge when under the stress of Nightreign. As such, these are some of the best daggers in Elden Ring Nightreign, ranked, so that players can prioritize these weapons in particular.
8 Misericorde
Incredible Critical Damage

Starting off strong, even some of the more common dagger drops in Elden Ring Nightreign have the potential to be a great addition to any player's arsenal. The Misericorde may be a simple dagger, but its incredibly thin blade makes it the perfect option for any player hoping to achieve plenty of backstabs.
The critical damage done by this common dagger is by far some of the best in the game, especially when paired up with another dagger to further increase the amount of damage done by the player. This dagger can also be dropped with various status ailments attached to it, potentially giving the player an added boost.
7 Duchess' Dagger
Made Stronger Through Relics
|
Status Ailment |
None (Although this can be changed with Relics) |
|---|---|
|
Attack Power |
Physical 55, Critical 130 |
|
Attribute Scaling |
Strength E, Dexterity S |
Another common yet great dagger that some players may even find themselves still using once they reach the final night in Elden Ring Nightreign is the Duchess' Dagger. This is the starting weapon of the Hero, Duchess, and it has the potential of being the best weapon for her depending on what sort of drops the player receives while playing.
When playing as the Duchess, players are able to further improve their starting weapon with Relics. This could include changing the starting ailment of the dagger to better fit the weakness of the final boss or even just when dealing with regular foes. However, even without Relics, the Duchess' Dagger is still a great option when using the Magic Dagger Ash of War to increase its initial damage.
6 Blade Of Calling
A Lethal Dagger That Can Have Different Ailments
|
Status Ailment |
None |
|---|---|
|
Attack Power |
Physical 57, Critical 110, Holy 35 |
|
Attribute Scaling |
Strength E, Dexterity A, Faith D |
Purple Rarity daggers don't just include the typical ones that players would expect that already have a specific statue ailment attached to them. Some, such as the Blade of Calling, do a high amount of holy damage, which is brilliant for the likes of taking on Tricephalos and Night Aspect.
Elden Ring Nightreign: Best Things To Do On Day 2
Day two is arguably the most critical part of Elden Ring Nightreign. Here's what players should be doing in this important period.
Players who get super-lucky may even find themselves with two Blades of Calling to allow themselves to dual-wield these deadly blades. Even without this addition, Blade of Calling does have a small amount of Holy damage attached to it, as well as having the unique Blade of Gold Ash of War to deal even more Holy damage while jumping into the air to fire a projectile.
5 Crystal Knife
An Ideal Choice For Duchess Players
|
Status Ailment |
None |
|---|---|
|
Attack Power |
Physical 44, Critical 100, Magic 30 |
|
Attribute Scaling |
Strength E, Dexterity A, Intelligence D |
Another perfect dagger option in Nightreign that is especially useful for characters such as the Duchess is the Crystal Knife. While at a glance, this blade may not seem overly impressive, this blue rarity dagger becomes lethal in the hands of someone with high Dexterity and decent Intelligence.
Magic damage may not be something that any of the main bosses of Elden Ring Nightreign may be weak to, but even when ignoring this, the Duchess, who has high attributes in both previously mentioned, can really turn this Crystal Knife into something special. Players may wish to upgrade this knife to a purple rarity if they have the time for even more damage due to this dagger unfortunately having the lowest otherwise.
4 Black Knife
The Dagger With A Little Faith
|
Status Ailment |
None |
|---|---|
|
Attack Power |
Physical 46, Critical 110, Holy 46 |
|
Attribute Scaling |
Strength E, Dexterity A, Faith D |
Another Purple Rarity dagger that players should be sure to pick up when they have the chance, as either the Duchess or Iron Eye, is Black Knife. While the initial damage from this dagger may not impress players, especially as this is another Holy weapon like the Blade of Calling, it is another great option for those looking for unique Ashes of War.
Black Knife, like it did in Elden Ring, comes with the Blade of Death Ash of War. When an enemy is hit with this unique skill, the attack doesn't only do a ridiculous amount of damage, but it also reduces the enemy's maximum health while gradually making them lose health for some time. This can really help with some of the more difficult bosses, especially when accompanied by the Duchess' skill, Restage, to make it hit once more.
3 Scorpion's Stinger
Kill With The Sting Of Scarlet Rot
|
Status Ailment |
Scarlet Rot (56) |
|---|---|
|
Attack Power |
Physical 71, Critical 110 |
|
Attribute Scaling |
Strength E, Dexterity S |
Scorpion's Stinger ranks highly among the best daggers in Elden Ring Nightreign as one of the few weapons that inflicts an enemy with Scarlet Rot when hit enough times with the weapon. Since Scorpion's Stringer is a dagger, putting this status ailment on an enemy will happen a lot faster, meaning that players will be granted the benefits of this weapon a lot more often.
Elden Ring Nightreign: 8 Overpowered Builds That Are A Lot Of Fun
Few builds are as potent as these overpowered Elden Ring Nightreign builds that are guaranteed to keep the game fun.
Although this dagger doesn't have its own unique Ash of War, it does come with Repeating Thrust. Therefore, if hitting with the dagger isn't enough, the player can use this Ash of War to charge up a flurry of attacks as long as an opening is available. Besides this, Scarlet Rot is also beneficial due to it doing damage much faster.
2 Glintstone Kris
A Dagger That Can Even Be Used At A Distance
|
Status Ailment |
None |
|---|---|
|
Attack Power |
Physical 40, Critical 110, Magic 48 |
|
Attribute Scaling |
Strength E, Dexterity A, Intelligence D |
Continuing on the theme of Ashes of War that players should be prioritizing, another great dagger that is a brilliant option for the Duchess, as well as being a potential choice for the Recluse, is the Glintstone Kris. Alongside the magic damage done by the Glintstone Kris, this dagger is perfect for fights that occur from a distance.
By using FP, the player is able to cast Glitnstone Dart. This is commonly found on the various staves in Elden Ring Nightreign, but the Glintstone Kris is in a unique case of a melee weapon for having this ranged option. With the dagger scaling with not only Dexterity but also Intelligence, both the Duchess and the Recluse can make the most of this dart to avoid taking unnecessary risks.
1 Reduvia
Bleed Continues To Be The Deadliest
|
Status Ailment |
Bleed 56 |
|---|---|
|
Attack Power |
Physical 71, Critical 110 |
|
Attribute Scaling |
Strength E, Dexterity A, Arcane C |
Out of all the daggers available in Elden Ring Nightreign, by far the best dagger out of all of them is the infamous Reduvia. Like any good Souls game, Bleed damage can be incredibly lethal, and this Purple Rarity dagger continues to prove why this is the case. While even better when combined with another dagger that causes Bleed, even by itself, Reduvia deals an impressive 56 Bleed on hit.
If that isn't enough to impress players looking for a decent dagger, Reduvia also comes with its own unique Ash of War known as Reduvia Blood Blade. When using this Ash of War, players can turn the blood that stains the blade into projectile blood blades that hit opponents for a substantial amount of Bleed. Players can even fire them in rapid succession for even more damage.
