For many players, one of the best parts of any Souls game is the ability to customize their character's appearance with sets of armor and weapons, to express themselves in the bleak worlds they play in. In Elden Ring Nightreign, that ability carries forward in a slightly different way, where rather than equipping individual armor pieces, players instead unlock skins for each Nightfarer to show off their progression in a stylish way.

How To Play Executor in Elden Ring Nightreign

With the ability to deflect attacks like in Sekiro, and a penchant for Katanas, the Executor class in Nightreign is a formidable melee expert.

All the Nightfarers fit into their own category and niche when it comes to aesthetics, and there is a class to fit every kind of player and playstyle. The Executor slots into the samurai, blade-master fantasy, wielding katanas and deflecting attacks with precision, and the skins that the player can unlock for them are just as cool as the character's gameplay.

5 Dawn

High Price For An Acquired Taste

Elden Ring Nightreign Executor dawn
  • Cost: 14,000
  • How to Get: Complete two expeditions

The Dawn set of skins all follow a similar trend, bringing a yellowy-gold coloring to each character, along with some basic physical changes. For the Executor, that trend continues, giving the silent ninja a different set of visuals that demands a steep price to acquire. At 14,000 murk, it is the second most expensive skin available for the class, and for that price, the actual reward is far from worth it.

The skin itself is an okay reskin that, like the other Executor skins, carries over to the beast form with the same yellows that the armor itself boasts. It is one of the first ones available for the class, so if players really want something different, then it is an okay investment, but for the most part, they might be better off holding out for a later unlock or even banking their murk for the coveted Darkness skins.

4 Remembrance

The End Of The Story

The remembrance quests are a great new feature in Nightreign that provides a bit more structure for the story, in a way that integrates perfectly with the main gameplay. The lore aside, the fact that players can actually gain rewards both during the run in the form of a nice rune injection and at the Hold with a skin and some relics, adds an extra incentive to follow the quests through to the end.

Elden Ring Nightreign: Best Spells, Ranked

The spells in Elden Ring Nightrein work a little differently than they do in the main game. Here are some of the best options players can use.

The Executor's remembrance skin is a pretty nice touch-up that lets players try out a slightly different look, whilst still keeping the same silhouette and colors that make them stand out. Unlocking the skin does require a bit of work in terms of time, as the remembrances cannot be progressed at a super-fast rate, but thankfully, players don't need to shell out any extra murk to actually unlock it.

3 Sable Church

A Familiar Face From A Long Time Ago

Elden Ring Nightreign Sable church
  • Cost: 7,500 Murk
  • How to Get: Complete the final expedition

The Sable Church skin falls into the category of reference skins, a call back to a previous character or armor set that fans of FromSoftware will know all too well. In this case, the skin depicts the same armor worn by Yuria of Londor, an NPC from Dark Souls 3 that plays a pivotal role in one of the endings, as well as the narrative as a whole.

Many fans of the series will be delighted to see that silver helmet once again, and it is great to see characters return like this, even if it's just a skin. In terms of the aesthetics itself, it's a pretty nice skin that completely changes the Executor's visuals, and for the low price of just 7,500 murk, it's pretty hard not to recommend it.

2 Thorns

No Longer Just An Invader

Elden Ring Nightreign Executor Thorns
  • Cost: 7,500 Murk
  • How to Get: Complete the final expedition

The Thorns skin is another callback skin that digs deep and goes all the way back to Dark Souls, where Knight Kirk is found as an invader that can put up a serious fight against the player. The character's significance in the story is basically nonexistent, but seeing the spiky armor once again is more than enough of a reason to make fans excited to pick it up.

It might seem a strange inclusion at first, but the reason seems to stem from the general playstyle of the character and the strengths the Executor brings to the table. The class thrives on being able to deflect damage and return fire with a heavy hit, and by using the high arcane stat in conjunction with bleed, the similarities between the characters become a whole lot clearer.

1 Darkness

Premium Price For Premium Product

Elden Ring Nightreign Executor Darkness
  • Cost: 35,000 Murk
  • How to Get: Complete two expeditions

The Darkness skins are easily the coolest choices for all of the classes, and the Executor's might be the best choice thanks to the beast form taking on all the same bleakness as the armor being worn. Wearing this armor makes the player feel like the bringer of death and an unstoppable force that tears through Nightlords like they are nothing.

Elden Ring Nightreign: 8 Best Things To Do On Day 2

Day two is arguably the most critical part of Elden Ring Nightreign. Here's what players should be doing in this important period.

The high price might be a turn off for many players, but one thing to consider is that there is only one 35,000 cost skin for each character, which means that players can quite happily invest their murk all at once in this awesome reskin, and be able to quickly recoup the spend within a few expeditions for their next skin.
