There are more than a hundred weapons Elden Ring Nightreign players can find in Limveld, but not every weapon is suited to take on the game's most difficult bosses and Nightlords. However, there are some weapons that are extraordinarily powerful and worth picking up every time, whether that be because of their scaling, weapon skills, or other passive abilities.
All Elden Ring Nightreign Unique Relics & Effects
There are about 40 unique relics Elden Ring Nightreign players can collect from a variety of sources.
The best weapon in Nightreign ultimately depends on your chosen Nightfarer, as each class in the game has a different favored weapon, passives, and stats that work better for some weapons over others.
This guide lists the best weapons for every class in Nightreign to shred through boss HP bars, along with requirements to wield each armament, and explains why each of these weapons in particular are so suited for each Nightfarer.
1 Blasphemous Blade
Best Nightreign Weapon For Wylder
|
|
Weapon Type: Greatsword Rarity: Legendary (Gold) Ash of War: Taker's Flames Legendary Passive: Power of the Blasphemous Level Required: 10 |
The
Blasphemous Blade is the best Wylder weapon in Elden Ring Nightreign because it takes advantage of his favored weapon type (greatsword) and comes with one of the best weapon skills in Nightreign. Just like in the base game, the Taker's Flames skill can shred through HP bars and has an extremely high chance to stagger or even knock down enemies. Plus, when it hits, it will restore some of your HP.
The Power of the Blasphemous legendary passive always appears on the Blasphemous Blade, which restores a slight amount of HP upon killing enemies.
But what makes this one of the best weapons in Nightreign for defeating bosses when playing as Wylder is that it gives him a second way to interrupt all but the largest opponents. If a boss looks like it's about to use a powerful ability, use Taker's Flames to stagger or knock them down.
2 Commander's Standard
Best Nightreign Weapon For Guardian
|
|
Weapon Type: Halberd Rarity: Rare (Purple) Ash of War: Rallying Standard Level Required: 7 |
The Commander's Standard is the best Guardian weapon in Elden Ring Nightreign because it takes advantage of his favored weapon type (halberd) and grants the Guardian another way to support teammates. The Commander's Standard weapon skill is Rallying Standard, which will buff your and your allies' Attack Power and defensive stats when used.
Elden Ring Nightreign: Optimal Route To Reach Every Nightlord
The optimal route in Nightreign changes between runs, but if you know what to prioritize, you can reach the Nightlord reliably.
Because it's a Halberd weapon, Guardian will be able to perform a special Guard Counter R2 and unlock additional moves unique to this Nightfarer. When used in conjunction with Guardian's ultimate ability, you'll serve as a kind of paladin for the team, granting buffs and supporting allies while you guard them from damage with your shield and Halberd setup.
3 Black Bow
Best Nightreign Weapon For Ironeye
|
|
Weapon Type: Bow Rarity: Rare (Purple) Ash of War: Barrage Level Required: 7 |
The
Black Bow is the best Ironeye weapon in Elden Ring Nightreign because it takes advantage of the Ironeye's favored weapon type (normal bows), scales well with his stats, and comes with the Barrage Ash of War. Though it can be nice to use a Mighty Shot against some enemies to stagger them, Barrage turns the Ironeye from a low-dps utility Nightfarer into a machine gunner.
This is especially true if you can find Nightreign weapon passives that grant FP restoration. With the right setup, you can use Barrage over and over again to shred through just about any enemy HP bar. Though it does not inflict a status effect by default, you can use a Grease to quickly inflict status ailments with Barrage, but be careful – using Barrage is a great way to draw unwanted boss aggro.
4 Scorpion's Stinger
Best Nightreign Weapon For Duchess
|
|
Weapon Type: Dagger Rarity: Rare (Purple) Ash of War: Repeating Thrust Level Required: 7 |
The
Scorpion's Stinger is the best Duchess weapon in Elden Ring Nightreign because it inflicts Scarlet Rot by default and takes advantage of the Duchess' favored weapon type (dagger). Its Ash of War is not that useful for the Duchess, the ability to inflict Scarlet Rot is what makes the Scorpion's Stinger stand out.

Scarlet Rot is one status effect that very few enemies are resistant or immune to, which is what ultimately makes the Scorpion's Stinger one of the best Duchess weapons. However, if you find daggers that inflict Bleed, Poison, or other status effect, they are still very powerful in the Duchess' rapidly-attacking hands.
5 Axe of Godfrey
Best Nightreign Weapon For Raider
|
|
Weapon Type: Colossal Weapon Rarity: Legendary (Gold) Ash of War: Regal Roar Legendary Passive: Power of the First Lord Level Required: 10 |
The
Axe of Godfrey is the best Raider weapon in Elden Ring Nightreign because its weapon skill grants the Raider a way to quickly close distances and increase his own Attack Power.
Raider excels when he can wield weapons that increase his ability to stance break enemies and deal slow, but massive, chunks of damage. Being a Colossal Weapon, the Axe of Godfrey is also one of the three weapon types that Raider can wield to unlock a special moveset, in this case, a running ground attack and faster attacks in general.
The Power of the First Lord legendary passive always appears on the Axe of Godfrey, which grants an Attack Power buff while charging attacks.
This weapon scales extremely well with Raider's stats, Regal Roar can be chained with a Heavy Attack to dash toward your target, and its legendary passive makes him even more powerful during charge attacks – which you should be performing often as Raider, as it's the best way to stance break an enemy quickly.
6 Revenant's Cursed Claw
Best Nightreign Weapon For Revenant
|
|
Weapon Type: Fist Weapon Rarity: Common (default Revenant starting weapon) Ash of War: White Shadow's Lure Level Required: 1 |
Revenant's Cursed Claw is the best Revenant weapon in Elden Ring Nightreign because, although it's the Revenant's default weapon, if you can upgrade it to +2, it starts to deal a significant amount of damage and stance break. Revenant's Cursed Claw has a fast attack speed, scales well with Revenant's stats, and tends to stagger and interrupt medium enemies with one or two hits.
Though its short range means you'll have to get close to enemies to deal damage with this squishiest Nightfarer – a dangerous spot to be in – it also comes with the White Shadow's Lure weapon skill. This can distract enemies momentarily and give her a chance to get away while her summons draw aggro.
Elden Ring Nightreign: All Skins (& How to Unlock Them)
There are five skins for every character in Nightreign – skins that unlock as you progress, Dark Souls skins, and a Remembrance skin.
Attacking with Revenant's Cursed Claw uses very little Stamina, too, which means you can chain together attacks over and over again. Its fast attack speed, upgraded damage potential, and its ability to easily interrupt medium enemies make it one of the best Revenant melee weapons.
7 Sword of Night and Flame
Best Nightreign Weapon For Recluse
|
|
Weapon Type: Short Sword Rarity: Legendary (Gold) Ash of War: Night-and-Flame Stance Legendary Passive: Power of Night and Flame Level Required: 10 |
The
Sword of Night and Flame is the best Recluse weapon in Elden Ring Nightreign because it scales well with her stats, the Night-and-Flame Stance weapon skill gives her two powerful close-range attacks, and it gives her a way to block attacks and preserve her fragile HP bar.
Though you should primarily use Sacred Seals and Staves as the Recluse, this legendary weapon's scaling makes it surprisingly powerful in the Recluse's hands. Plus, being in melee range as the Recluse isn't always bad, as some Magic Cocktail spells can heal you or only deal damage at close range.
The Power of Night and Flame legendary passive always appears on the Sword of Night and Flame, which increases your allies' Magic or Fire damage when you use the weapon skill.
Night-and-Flame stance gives her the ability to blast out a wave of fire in the immediate vicinity or shoot a Comet Azur-like beam of magic damage forward a short distance. Both of these skills use a lot of FP, but because Recluse can easily recover FP with her unique Affinity Residue system, this isn't as much of a concern as it would be for other Nightfarers.
8 Rivers of Blood
Best Nightreign Weapon For Executioner
|
|
Weapon Type: Katana Rarity: Rare (Purple) Ash of War: Corpse Piler Level Required: 7 |
Rivers of Blood is the best Executioner weapon in Elden Ring Nightreign because it scales exceptionally well with his high Arcane stat, deals Bleed damage by default, and comes with one of the most powerful weapon skills in Nightreign: Corpse Piler. Rivers of Blood is also a Katana, which is the Executioner's favored weapon type.
Rivers of Blood is a weapon of demonic power that can shred through boss HP bars in Nightreign just as easily as it can in the original Elden Ring. Though some enemies are resistant to bleed, the vast majority of bosses and normal enemies in Nightreign can be inflicted with Blood Loss, which deals percentage-based damage.
As Executioner, aim to dual-wield Rivers of Blood with another Katana to unlock the powerstancing moveset. This will let you inflict status effects (such as Bleed) twice as fast, though you use more Stamina for each attack and are unable to block. As Executioner, you can still unsheathe your Cursed Sword to block attacks while dual-wielding.
