Shifting Earth events in Elden Ring Nightreign typically have a low chance to appear at random after you defeat any Nightlord. There is no way to know which Shifting Earth will appear, and no way to guarantee specific Shifting Earth events. However, with the 1.01.3 update, FromSoftware added a new way to set custom Shifting Earth events in Nightreign.
Elden Ring Nightreign: Hardest Nightlords Tier List
The hardest Nightlords in Elden Ring Nightreign present a significantly higher challenge, and more mechanics, than the easiest bosses in the game.
To create Shifting Earth events, Nightreign players will have to get a new currency that can only be earned from high-level variants of the existing Nightlords. Follow this guide to learn the steps you need to follow to unlock the Collector's Board vendor, which offers the ability to summon a specific Shifting Earth in Nightreign using this new currency.
How To Change Shifting Earth In Nightreign
Defeat An Everdark Sovereign To Get Sovereign Sigils
To unlock the ability to summon a custom Shifting Earth event for your next few runs, you must defeat an Everdark Sovereign. In Nightreign, Everdark Sovereigns are essentially enhanced versions of existing Nightlords with new moves, higher resistances, and new rewards. You can only fight an Everdark Sovereign if you have defeated the normal variant of the boss first.
Once defeated, you will get the normal Relic and Murk rewards as well as a new currency: Sovereign Sigils. Earned exclusively by defeating Everdark Sovereigns, Sovereign Sigils can be spent at a new vendor to create Shifting Earth events.
Find The Collector's Board In Roundtable Hold
After you defeat your first Everdark Sovereign, a new vendor will appear in Roundtable Hold. Head to the Shore just outside the main hall of Roundtable Hold, where you can see other players' history.
Walk to the west side of the Roundtable Hold exterior, and you should see a small table with an etching of a moth on it. This is the Collector's Board vendor – once found, you can teleport directly to it from the Roundtable Hold map.
Select A Custom Shifting Earth In The Collector's Board Menu
There are a few things you can do at the Collector's Board, like unlock Relics, Vessels, change th Roundtable appearance, and even unlock Skins with the new currency. One of the new options available to players is the ability to summon a shift in the earth.
Open the "conjure a shift in the earth" menu, and you will see a list of available Shifting Earth events. Select your desired Shifting Earth, then pay 1x Sovereign Sigil to activate it.
The next three to four times that you go on expeditions in Nightreign, your selected Shifting Earth event will be active. If you want to end the current Shifting Earth event, go to the room just south of the Remembrance Journal and sleep in the bed to pass time.
