A new trailer for Elden Ring Nightreign reveals that players will be able to dress themselves in the costumes of fan-favorite Dark Souls series characters. A multiplayer-oriented spin-off of Elden Ring, Elden Ring Nightreign will launch for PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S on May 30.

As a team of three Nightfarers, players will cooperate to hunt foes, accomplish objectives, and prepare to survive a night cycle full of vicious bosses. Limveld itself will also change with every run, its shifting territory and layout promising a variety of new challenges and choices.

FromSoftware detailed more about Elden Ring Nightreign ahead of release with a lengthy overview trailer, which also revealed more about some of the game's cosplay options based on Dark Souls. The overview trailer details that the armor and costumes worn by some Dark Souls series NPCs will appear as cosmetic options which can be bought from an in-game store. It's already known that Nightreign will feature encounters with famed Dark Souls bosses like the Nameless King, but the new cosmetic options lean in on fans' love of certain characters, like Solaire of Astoria from the original Dark Souls and Faraam from Dark Souls 2.

Dark Souls Fans Can Buy NPC Costumes in Elden Ring Nightreign

The new cosmetic options are available from the Roundtable Hold, a base area where players can rest, relax, and upgrade their equipment and abilities. A special shop called the Small Jar Bazaar allows Nightfarers to change their cosmetic appearance in exchange for Murk, a currency earned in battle. The costumes range from variations on the designs of Elden Ring Nightreign characters to cosmetic armor sets drawn from the Dark Souls series.

The trailer shows off three sets based on Solaire of Astoria, Faraam, the God of War, and Ringfinger Leonhard, a servant of Rosaria, Mother of Rebirth from Dark Souls 3.
