Chalices, Goblets, Grails, and Urns are vessels in Elden Ring Nightreign that play a very important role in the game's relic rites system. More specifically, these are the vessels into which players can insert their relics, and they each support different relic configurations. Fortunately, it is very easy to switch between vessels in Elden Ring Nightreign, and this guide is here to walk players through the process.
Players cannot make adjustments to their vessels and relics during a run, and they should make sure to address these mechanics when they are in Roundtable Hold.

How to Equip Goblets, Chalices, Grails & Urns in Elden Ring Nightreign
Use the Relic Rites Menu
By default, every character in Elden Ring Nightreign comes equipped with a default urn, which allows players to start using their relics as soon as they visit the relic rites altar within Roundtable Hold. That said, players can earn many additional vessels during their time with the game, and they will need to equip those vessels if they want to have access to the relic configurations that they provide. Here is how that is done:
- In Roundtable Hold, open the map and select "Relic Rites." Players can open the map by pressing the touch pad on a PlayStation controller, the view button on an Xbox controller, or "m" on a keyboard.
- Navigate to the tab for the character with the vessel that is to be equipped. While some vessels can be equipped by all the Nightfarers, that is not the case with the vast majority of them.
- Press down (on a controller's d-pad or on a keyboard) to bring up a list of the vessels that are available to the selected character.
- Highlight the vessel you wish to use and press the "OK" input that appears in the bottom-left corner of the screen to equip it.
After performing those actions, players will find that they can assign relics based on the newly equipped vessel's configuration. This might mean that the player can insert two blue relics and a red one, or perhaps the vessel accepts one red, one blue, and one yellow relic. Whatever the case may be, using relics in Elden Ring Nightreign is as simple as selecting one of the vessel's three slots and then confirming the relic that is to be inserted.
Players can only have one vessel equipped to a Nightfarer. As such, additional vessels simply provide opportunities to change a Nightfarer's relic configuration, and they do not allow players to have more than three relics assigned to a character at once.
How to Get Goblets, Chalices, Grails & Urns in Elden Ring Nightreign
As previously noted, every character starts with a default urn that is automatically equipped. Players who want to earn additional vessels have a few options that they can pursue:
- The Small Jar Bazaar in Roundtable Hold sells a Goblet for each character. Each of those vessels costs 1,200 Murk.
- Players can earn a Chalice for each character by working through their Remembrance quests.
- As players start defeating Nightlords, they will find a selection of Grails, which can be equipped by all the Nightfarers, at the Small Jar Bazaar.
