In Elden Ring Nightreign, all Nightlords serve as the final boss of Day 3 for all eight available expeditions. At first, you will only have the Tricephalos (Gladius, Beast of Night) expedition available, but once this has been completed, six more will unlock. The eighth and final expedition, titled Night Aspect, unlocks once you have completed any four of the previous expeditions.

All Remembrance Quests In Elden Ring Nightreign

Here's a basic rundown of every available Remembrance quest for all characters in Elden Ring Nightreign.

Every Nightlord boss in Nightreign presents a significant challenge to players with movesets meant for multiplayer and fast, arena-spanning attacks. But you aren't completely powerless – if you can find weapons that inflict your targeted boss's weakness, you'll find all Nightreign Nightlord bosses much easier to deal with.

This guide details all eight Nightlords in Elden Ring Nightreign, including every Nightlord weakness and resistance, a brief overview of each boss' most powerful moves, and other tips to beat every Nightlord in the game.

Gladius, Beast of Night

Nightlord of the Tricephalos Expedition

A many-legged beast appearing from shadow, carrying on its back a chain-link sword used to hunt its prey.

Between the fangs of its many heads flicker overwhelming flames.

When assailed by multiple shadows, only sacred light can hinder the hunt.

  • Major Weakness: Holy
  • Other Weaknesses: Sleep
  • Resistances: Fire, Poison, Frostbite
  • Immunities: Madness

Gladius, Beast of Night is the final Day 3 boss of the Tricephalos expedition, the first expedition players have access to in Nightreign. Though he is the first of the Nightlords Elden Ring Nightreign players must go up against, the three-headed dog Gladius is anything but a pushover.

Bring a source of Holy damage into this fight to more easily stagger Gladius. This is especially true when you use Holy attacks against its three split forms (which tends to happen at around 75% HP). The smaller split forms are more susceptible to being interrupted, which can help your group survive this onslaught before the boss re-forms back into one being.

How To Beat Gladius, Beast of Night

Adel, Baron of Night

Nightlord of the Gaping Jaw Expedition

A colossal, crooked black frame capable of harboring lightning, with massive jaws, lined with grinding teeth to devour anything and everything it encouners.

Only poison will stop it in its tracks.

  • Major Weakness: Poison, Frostbite
  • Other Weaknesses: Scarlet Rot, Sleep
  • Resistances: Fire, Bleed
  • Immunities: Madness

Adel, Baron of Night is the final Day 3 boss of the Gaping Jaw expedition. This terrifying creature is incredibly fast and attacks rapidly, and it can be hard to get out of the way of its long-range grab attacks. It has two phases, and will transition into a Lightning-infused state with stronger abilities and higher mobility upon reaching about 60% HP.

There are about 40 unique relics Elden Ring Nightreign players can collect from a variety of sources.

Bring a source of Poison damage into this fight. Adel is the only boss that is weak to Poison and it triggers an incredibly powerful effect when inflicted on the Gaping Jaw. When you Poison Adel, the boss will stop in its tracks and heave up Poison, giving you and your teammates a few valuable seconds of opportunity to heal or deal damage.

This is particularly useful in the second phase when the boss practically thrashes manically around the entire arena. Frostbite is also particularly useful against Adel, as it will interrupt the boss when the status procs, but it doesn't last as long as the Poison interruption.

How To Beat Adel, Baron of Night

Gnoster, Wisdom of Night

Nightlord of the Sentient Pest Expedition

A flying insect and living shears that trail the earth.

Those lucky enough to escape the former's rain of magic light fall victim to the shears.

If moth poison is ingested, it will eat through the host — a parasite that cannot be removed alone.

  • Major Weakness: Fire
  • Other Weaknesses: N/A
  • Resistances: Bleed, Poison, Magic, Sleep
  • Immunities: Madness

Gnoster, Wisdom of Night is the final Day 3 boss of the Sentient Pest expedition, and the only Nightlord that is represented by a duo boss encounter. Up in the sky you will see Gnoster (Moth), and after a second or two once the fight begins, Gnoster (Scorpion) will burrow out of the ground. Bringing a ranged teammate like Ironeye to this fight is a great way to split up your party and focus down both bosses at the same time.

After the boss reaches about 50% HP, the moth will fly down and land on top of the scorpion. Gnoster will then start charging around the arena and blasting your team with magic attacks, so be sure to save your biggest interruption moves (like Wylder's Onslaught Strike ult) for this transition.

Bring Fire to this fight to inflict a strong damage-over-time effect on both bosses – both the moth and scorpion are susceptible to this debuff. Keep a stronger Physical weapon as a backup to deal more damage in between triggering Fire procs on the boss.

Maris, Fathom of Night

Nightlord of the Augur Expedition

An unknown entity that drifts through the skies.

It makes an ocean of its surroundings, that it may blend with whatever life is found, as if in a dream.

Exercise caution, warriors. The enemy may not always be that which can be seen.

  • Major Weakness: Lightning
  • Other Weaknesses: None
  • Resistances: Fire
  • Immunities: Madness, Bleed, Sleep, Poison

Maris, Fathom of Night is the final Day 3 boss of the Augur expedition, and arguably the easiest Nightlord to beat in Elden Ring Nightreign, depending on your team composition. The boss spends most of the time up in the air, swirling above between brief moments near the ground. Though Maris appears to be slow and graceful, the projectiles and jellyfish it shoots across the arena are anything but.

One particular attack players must watch out for is its destructive Teardrop. The boss will curl in on itself and produce a large glowing teardrop object in the sky which, when it falls to the ground, will deal an arena-wide blast of damage. It is extremely important to destroy this before it hits the ground by any means necessary.

The boss's tendency to stay in the air and the urgency to prevent this blast makes Recluse and Ironeye particularly useful in this expedition. You can also bring a source of Lightning damage to more easily interrupt and stun Maris.

How To Beat Maris, Fathom of Night

Libra, Creature of Night

Nightlord of the Equilibrious Beast Expedition

A goat-headed being who pretends to be a man, said to be able to use a dubious form of alchemy.

Counterfeit gold causes loss of sanity, beckoning madness.

However, those who foment madness are sure to succumb to the selfsame malady in the end.

  • Major Weakness: Madness
  • Other Weaknesses: Holy, Poison, Rot, Bleed, Frostbite
  • Resistances: Magic
  • Immunities: Sleep

Libra, Creature of Night is the final Day 3 boss of the Equilibrious Beast expedition, and the only boss that will not attack you upon entering the final arena. Instead, the boss is shrouded in a cloak and, when interacted with, will offer you a deal. If you take a deal, there is always a negative side effect, but there is also an option to choose none of the offers. When all players have selected a deal, the fight will start as Libra sheds its cloak.

Libra is one of the hardest bosses in Nightreign because of its rapid attack patterns and its ability to easily inflict Madness.

  • At all times, you will have to watch for sigils on the ground that will explode and inflict Madness buildup and significant damage.
  • When the boss meditates, you must quickly destroy Sigils to prevent it from gaining a massive power increase.
  • When the boss starts to inflict Madness amongst all party members, you must step on collectible Madness shards to stave off the building status effect.

There are a lot of mechanics to remember for this fight, but if you can bring in a source of Madness damage yourself, you can make the boss significantly easier. Though Libra uses Madness attacks, it is also susceptible to Madness buildup, which will interrupt the boss for a few seconds if you can land enough hits with a Madness weapon.

How To Beat Libra, Creature of Night

Caligo, Miasma of Night

Nightlord of the Fissure in the Fog Expedition

A prehistoric dragon which lurks within fog.

The great shadowy pair of eyes, framed in frigid mist, are said to appear at history's great junctures.

Its coldness can readily purloin the living warmth of its victims.

  • Major Weakness: Fire
  • Other Weaknesses: Scarlet Rot, Poison, Bleed
  • Resistances: Frostbite, Sleep, Magic, Lightning, Holy
  • Immunities: Madness

Caligo, Miasma of Night is the final Day 3 boss of the Fissure in the Fog expedition. Arguably the most cinematic boss fight in Elden Ring Nightreign, Caligo is a gigantic dragon that inflicts Frostbite with just about every attack and features a number of arena-wide AoE attacks that players must avoid or be prepared to take a chunk of damage and Frostbite buildup.

The boss doesn't have a second phase, but it does have two moves that can instantly kill all but the most prepared players, both of which can occur after the arena fills with mists. The boss will either charge up a massive blast that damages everyone who isn't hiding behind an ice pillar, or it will create an interlaced ceiling of ice that shatters and slams down on everyone within the blast zone.

Bring a source of Fire damage into this fight to inflict a damage-over-time effect on Caligo and make the boss a little more bearable. This is particularly useful against Caligo as the boss often flies away out of hit range, while the Fire DoT effect will continue to damage Caligo as you catch up.

How To Beat Caligo, Miasma of Night

Fulghor, Champion of Nightglow

Nightlord of the Darkdrift Knight Expedition

An ancient centaur consumed with battle.

His fervor for the gods he serves yet burns within, wielding a sacred form of the Night's power.

According to legend, the mightily radiant gods were able to conceal themselves in the roar of the thunder.

  • Major Weakness: Lightning
  • Other Weaknesses: Poison, Scarlet Rot, Bleed, Frostbite, Sleep
  • Resistances: Holy
  • Immunities: Madness

Fulghor, Champion of Nightglow is the final Day 3 boss of the Darkdrift Knight expedition, and arguably the hardest boss in Elden Ring Nightreign. In addition to its extremely fast moveset, which makes it hard for melee players to keep up, it has several high-damage moves that are hard to predict and can cover a massive amount of area in the blink of an eye.

When you deal enough damage to the boss it will essentially enrage and gain new, wider-range, more damaging attacks. As it charges around the arena, Fulghor will blast nearby areas with AoE Holy damage, and it can launch projectiles, close distance, and continue chain combos back-to-back.

If you want to stand a chance against Fulghor, prioritize Lightning weapons as you journey through Day 1 and Day 2. The boss will become stunned when you hit it with Lightning damage every so often, which helps control the boss' rapid moveset and keep it in place for your melee teammates.

Fulghor is also susceptible to Poison, Scarlet Rot, Bleed, and Frostbite, though to a lesser degree than Lightning.

How To Beat Fulghor, Champion of Nightglow

Heolstor, the Nightlord – Final Boss

Nightlord of the Night Aspect Expedition

Beyond the boundless Night there lies the hazy figure of a person.

That is the Night's origin, and enemy to the world.

The signs shall reveal where the footprints of the Primordial Nightlord lead.

  • Major Weakness: Holy
  • Other Weaknesses: Fire (Phase 1), Lightning (Phase 2)
  • Resistances: Sleep, Scarlet Rot
  • Immunities: Madness, Poison, Bleed, Frostbite

Heolstor, the Nightlord is the final Day 3 boss of the Tricephalos expedition, and the only one that has two distinct phases. As the final boss of the game, Heolstor is the target for many Remembrance questline endings, too. In phase one, you will face off against the Shape of Night, a weaker form of Heolstor. When you bring the boss' HP bar to 0, it will transform into Heolstor and begin its second phase.

Both phases of this fight are tough, but the second phase features a number of arena-spanning attacks that can be incredibly difficult to avoid or dodge away from. Bring a source of Holy damage into this fight to more easily stagger Heolstor in both phases.

Though the boss is completely immune to a variety of status effects, you can still inflict Scarlet Rot on it. Plus, Fire and Lightning damage hit slightly harder in phase 1 and phase 2, respectively.
