While many fans are eagerly awaiting the upcoming cooperative title by FromSoftware, some have expressed disappointment with its three-player format. Since the game was announced, a large portion of the community has asked the developers to add some kind of option for two-player support. In a recent interview, director Junya Ishizaki stated that the idea of adding a two-player option was overlooked during the title's development. Since it wasn't an intentional design choice made by the team, Ishizaki stated that FromSoftware is actively considering adding the option to play as a duo in Elden Ring Nightreign. While this feature wouldn't be available at launch, he did say that it could be added at some point down the line.
