Elden Ring Nightreign's release is imminent, and some recent information suggests that one Nightfarer will stand out from the crowd.
When Can You Preload Elden Ring Nightreign?
Elden Ring Nightreign can be preloaded on PS4 and PS5 consoles from May 28, two days before its May 30 release date. While there has been no official announcement for other platforms, Steam typically allows preloading 48 hours before the official release date. Xbox players can sometimes download a 'placeholder' file months before a game is released, but the full game often won't be available to preload until a few days or sometimes up to one week before.
What's Elden Ring Nightreign's Install Size?
According to the Elden Ring Nightreign's Steam Store page, it only requires 30 GB of available space on your storage drive. According to the reputable PlayStation Game Size account on X, the PS4 and PS5 download sizes come in at 21.176 GB. Currently, there is no word on the file size on Xbox consoles, but it's likely it will be around the same as that on PS4 and PS5.
Is Elden Ring Nightreign Crossplay?
Elden Ring Nightreign won't support typical cross-platform crosspla y. In other words, someone playing on PS5 can't play with someone on Xbox Series X and another player on PC. However, those playing on PS5 can play with PS4 players, and those on Xbox Series X|S can play with Xbox One players.
Can You Play Elden Ring Nightreign in Couch Co-Op?
Unfortunately, you can only play Elden Ring Nightreign in online multiplayer and not in couch co-op. It's also worth noting, there is a bit of a catch when it comes to playing with others. Elden Ring Nightreign can either be played as a group of three players or on your own. In an interview with game director Junya Ishizaki, he said it was "largely a game balancing decision, rather than a game design decision," and that three players was the "sweet spot" without the game feeling "too overwhelming or busy."
Can You Play Elden Ring Nightreign in Single Player?
Yes, if fans want a real challenge or just like playing solo, they can play Elden Ring Nightreign on their own. In the interview with game director Junya Ishizaki linked above, it was confirmed that boss and enemy health will scale if you're playing solo, rather than in a group of three. FromSoftware has also shared that it will make difficulty adjustments to Elden Ring Nightreign based on feedback received from the community following the playtest earlier this year.

Is There an Elden Ring Nightreign Preorder Bonus?
Players who pre-order Elden Ring Nightreign will get the bonus gesture "It's Raining!" However, it has also been noted that this can also be obtained later in the game, even if you don't pre-order. Yes, it has been confirmed that Elden Ring Nightreign DLC will come at some point after launch. However, no official release date has been shared yet. What we do know is that it will bring additional playable characters and bosses, thanks to leaked DLC plans shared on the game's Steam page.
Is Elden Ring Nightreign Coming to Nintendo Switch, PS4, and Xbox One?
