Summary
- Elden Ring Nightreign file sizes: PS4 - 21.176GB, PS5 - 21.156GB, with artbook and soundtrack at 738MB.
- The game can also be pre-loaded on May 28 for a seamless launch experience.
- Elden Ring Nightreign emphasizes 3-player co-op and introduces playable Remembrances for each class.
Ahead of its release later this month, the file size for Elden Ring Nightreign on the PlayStation consoles has been revealed, giving players an idea of how much space they'll need. While the initial reveal of the co-op-focused Elden Ring Nightreign likely surprised fans, the wait to go hands-on with the full experience is nearly at an end.
Unlike its predecessor, Elden Ring Nightreign places an emphasis on 3-player co-op as they attempt to level up and survive 3 in-game days inside a procedurally generated open world. The switch from Elden Ring's relatively solitary experience surprised many fans, but FROM Software revealed how Nightreign plans to deliver its story and lore. Each character class will have its own playable Remembrances, where players can interact with them at the Roundtable Hold. Thanks to a recent Twitter post, fans have also gained insight into how much hard drive space they'll need to have as well.
Elden Ring Nightreign Making Difficulty Adjustments
FromSoftware shares that it is making adjustments to the difficulty of Elden Ring Nightreign after receiving valuable feedback from the community.
The social media account PlayStation Game Size recently confirmed how big Elden Ring Nightreign will be for PS4 and PS5 users. PlayStation 4 users will need to set aside 21.176 GB, while PS5 players will need slightly less at 21.156 GB. For those downloading the Elden Ring Nightreign digital bonuses, the artbook and soundtrack come in at 738MB. Unfortunately, the file sizes only reflect the PlayStation consoles, though both Xbox and PC should be fairly similar. Regardless, it looks as though Elden Ring Nightreign won't be resource intensive once it does launch.
Elden Ring Nightreign Pre-Load Date
- May 28
For those who want to get a jump on the game, Elden Ring Nightreign will be able to be pre-load starting on May 28. The feature essentially allows players to download the game in advance, so when the game launches, it'll be ready to go, without first needing to install or download anything. While it wasn't a universal feature initially, being able to preload games prior to launch like Monster Hunter Wilds has become popular with players, helping them cut down on the time before they can play at launch.
As FROM Software continues to reveal new details about the game, one of the more well-received announcements was how Elden Ring Nightreign honors previous Souls games. Using an in-game currency called Murk, players can purchase new cosmetic outfits at the Roundtable Hold through the Small Jar Bazaar. It was revealed that cosmetic options based off NPCs and armor sets, like Solaire of Astoria, Ringfinger Leonhard, and even the Set of Artorias, would be available to wear.
