How To Get Lightning Affinity Weapons for Augur & Darkdrift Knight In Elden Ring Nightreign
Players can find out the weakness of the Nightlords in the Augur and Darkdrift Knight expeditions by checking out the affinity icon next to their avatar.
Lightning weapons and spells in general do extra damage to foes in Elden Ring Nightreign, but they'll be a lot more effective against Nightlords that have lightning affinity as their weakness. So, this makes finding lightning-infused weapons worth it, and they're sometimes easily available around the land of Limveld.
One of the best ways to look for lightning weapons and spells is to check out the major points of interest marked on your map. If you look towards the bottom-right corner of the landmarks, you'll find them marked with affinity icons. You'll need to figure out which landmark has a bolt icon next to it, and then travel there with your party.
Once you reach the area, make sure to take out the minor enemies first, and then focus all your attacks against the field boss of that particular landmark. Once the boss is down, there's a high chance you'll get some kind of lightning-infused weapon or spell from it. Additionally, you can search around the area, checking chests and breakable boxes to find more lightning-infused gear.
How Does the Lightning Affinity Affect Maris and Fulghor?
Both Nightlords of Augur and Darkdrift Knight expeditions are weak to lightning damage, which will make the boss fight easier for players who step into the battle with the right gear.
When it comes to Darkdrift Knight's Nightlord Fulghor, it has a phase where it charges up the spear and plunges it into the ground. This attack will send out spears towards all party members, and can make the fight difficult to manage. However, hitting the boss with a lightning-based weapon or spell completely skips this phase, and even staggers the boss for a bit.
When it comes to Maris, it doesn't have the same effect as Fulghor, but it'll take increased damage when hit with lightning-based attacks. The boss is often floating around the battlefield, so it's recommended to use lightning spells for it, as it'll be tricky to land melee hits.
