FromSoftware has surprised Elden Ring Nightreign players by releasing its 1.01.2 update filled with tweaks and bug fixes on the morning of June 10. Elden Ring Nightreign was released on May 30 for PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, and PC. The title was an instant hit for FromSoftware, as it managed to pull in 3.5 million players within five days of its release.

Some players were surprised to see FromSoftware release another update, as it recently launched a patch meant to fix matchmaking in Elden Ring Nightreign. The update specifically targeted matchmaking issues related to remembrance quests, as players were having a difficult time finding groups with one of the objectives active.

In a recent post on Twitter, FromSoftware outlined what players can expect to see when they install Elden Ring Nightreign's latest update. In order to release the patch, the game's servers were taken down for one hour on the morning of June 10. One of the bug fixes included in the update targets the boss Wormface, as some players found that they were unable to rescue teammates near death after the boss had used its grab attack on them.

One of the bug fixes addresses an issue with the Guardian's remembrance questline in Elden Ring Nightreign. According to the patch notes, the update fixes a bug where the Demon Merchant wouldn't appear on the map during the Guadian's remembrance objective "Find the Demon Merchant in Limveld." The patch notes also state that, even though the update is filled with important bug fixes, the developers are aware of more issues in the game and are actively working to fix them as soon as possible.

While many players were happy to see the 1.01.2 patch address a wide variety of bugs, a lot of people are waiting to find out when FromSoftware will release its highly requested duos mode in Elden Ring Nightreign. As of writing, players only have two options when signing up for an expedition. Gamers can choose to play solo or in a group of three, but a large portion of the community has been asking for a duos mode since the game was announced in December 2024. While FromSoftware hasn't provided a firm release date for the game mode, it cas confirmed that it is actively working to add the feature. With so much content to enjoy and even more on the way, many fans are feeling optimistic about the future of Elden Ring Nightreign.

Fixed a bug where the Passive Effect “Add (Magic/Lightning/Holy) to Weapon”, when applied to a Bow, made the Physical attack power higher than expected.
Fixed a bug where some non-direct attacks of specific weapons’ skills would inflict the attribute attack power and status ailment of the weapon.
Fixed a bug where weapons with the “Projectile Damage Drop-Off Reduced” Passive Effect were not included in the loot pool of chests and felled enemies.
Fixed a bug where the Demon Merchant would not appear when some conditions were met during the Personal Objective “Find the Demon Merchant in Limveld” of Guardian's Remembrance.
Fixed a bug where Libra, Creature of Night would repeatedly perform some actions.
Fixed a bug that caused the game to become unstable under some circumstances during the battle against Adel, Baron of Night.
Fixed a bug where it was not possible to rescue a player who was near death after being grabbed by Wormface's grab attack.

NOTE: Although this update includes bugfixes, we are aware that similar issues may still occur under some conditions, and we are continuing to work on resolving them.
