There are some Elden Ring Nightreign players that have given up on the game and decided to get a refund. Elden Ring Nightreign is the latest game by FromSoftware, the award-winning studio behind mega-hits like the Dark Souls trilogy, Bloodborne, Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice, and of course, the massive open world game Elden Ring.
Ever since Elden Ring Nightreign was first announced, there were some fans that were unsure about the game. Elden Ring Nightreign is primarily a co-op experience, and that, combined with its roguelike elements, has kept some FromSoftware enthusiasts from really giving it a chance. Others that were skeptical about the game tried it out anyway, and it seems some of those players have decided to get a refund.

There are various posts on social media of people refunding Elden Ring Nightreign. Users on Reddit and Facebook have either claimed that they have successfully refunded the game or have complained that they are not able to do so. Refund policies change from platform to platform, and so someone that has already put in more than a couple of hours in Elden Ring Nightreign is unlikely to get a refund. In any case, the fact that people are getting refunds for Elden Ring Nightreign at all is shocking when one considers FromSoftware's track record, but it seems that many just aren't vibing with the game's co-op focus and roguelike elements.
Some Elden Ring Nightreign Players Are Getting, or Wanting, Refunds
Elden Ring Nightreign has suffered from technical issues since launch, including disconnects, that have kept people from truly enjoying the game. Others have found that Elden Ring Nightreign is too hard, even for a FromSoftware game, as it's primarily balanced for three players. FromSoftware has been listening to feedback and has already started making fan-requested changes. For example, the latest Elden Ring Nightreign update aims to make solo play a little easier, which may keep other FromSoftware fans from abandoning the game and trying to get a refund.
Future updates could make Elden Ring Nightreign even closer to what fans want from the game. Elden Ring Nightreign doesn't have an option for duos at the time of this writing, but FromSoftware has indicated that it is open to considering the possibility down the road. Eventually, enough Elden Ring Nightreign updates may be issued to bring the game closer to the standard that one expects from FromSoftware and potentially turn public opinion around in the process.
Even so, there are some FromSoftware fans that will never like Elden Ring Nightreign because of its co-op focus. Those individuals may also be weary of T he Duskbloods and its multiplayer gameplay, and it will be interesting to see if that game has people issuing refunds for it as well.
