Though you cannot create a custom character in Elden Ring Nightreign, costumes and alternate armor appearances allow players to customize the look of all eight playable Nightfarers. As you progress through Expeditions in Nightreign, you will naturally unlock the first two custom sets – the Dawn and Darkness sets – but it isn't until later in the game that you will be able to unlock Nightreign Dark Souls skins.
Elden Ring Nightreign: Deluxe Edition & Preorder Rewards
There are three different editions Elden Ring Nightreign players can purchase, as well as a preorder bonus for buying the game before launch.
Indeed, there are a lot of things in Nightreign that pull from the Souls series, including several bosses and armor sets directly inspired by iconic Dark Souls sets. Follow this guide to learn how to unlock Dark Souls sets in Nightreign and find a detailed list of every Souls skin in Nightreign and its original inspiration from the Souls games.
How To Unlock Dark Souls Skins In Nightreign
To get Dark Souls skins, Elden Ring Nightreign players must roll credits. Once you have defeated four Nightlords, you will be able to proceed to the final eighth Expedition and take on the final Nightlord. Once you have completed this task and have rolled credits on Nightreign, Dark Souls skins will become available for purchase at the Dresser in Roundtable Hold.
You will unlock the Change Appearance Dresser after beating your second Nightlord – finish the Tricephalos Expedition and any other Expedition to access this feature and unlock new costumes.
The Dawn and Darkness skins are 14,000 and 35,000 Murk each, which requires many, many Expeditions to farm – especially if you don't play Nightreign with a group. Luckily, every Nightreign Dark Souls skin is significantly cheaper. Every Dark Souls skin in Nightreign costs 7,500 Murk to unlock.
You can freely switch between unlocked appearances at the Dresser, and characters will don your chosen costume whether they are your selected character or hanging out around Roundtable Hold as an NPC.
