Many players have tried to take down the final boss in Elden Ring: Shadow of the Erdtree, but one has figured out a way to defeat Promised Consort Radahn without engaging in combat. Elden Ring was already known for its challenging boss battles, which have spawned countless tales of dedicated gamers attempting to vanquish powerful enemies like Malenia, Blade of Miquella in unique ways. This would continue when the Elden Ring: Shadow of the Erdtree DLC was launched in June, with one of the expansion’s most notable opponents being Promised Consort Radahn.
Confronted by players at the very end of the Elden Ring: Shadow of the Erdtree DLC, Promised Consort Radahn has become just as iconic among the game’s fanbase as the aforementioned Malenia, with players sharing their stories of besting this punishing boss using tons of unorthodox methods. For example, one Elden Ring player powered up their Tarnished with all manner of status buffs before killing Radahn with a single blow, while another unleashed the power of the saxophone to take down the armored warrior without suffering any damage.
Smithscript Greathammer Build in Elden Ring: Shadow of the Erdtree
The Smithscript Greathammer is an amazing throwing weapon in Elden Ring: Shadow of the Erdtree because of it's high damage, and low damage fall off.
These examples still involve battling with Promised Consort Radahn, but one player recently figured out how to win Elden Ring: Shadow of the Erdtree’s final boss battle without fighting at all. A player on BiliBili seemingly discovered this method, which was later shared by Sheng Qian on YouTube. As it turns out, a Tarnished can use the invisibility-granting Assassin's Gambit Ash of War skill and the Unseen Form sorcery to hide from Radahn at the start of his designated boss battle, protecting them from the enemy’s mighty attacks.
Elden Ring: Shadow Of The Erdtree's Radahn Gives Up During Boss Battle
The Elden Ring player can then use this opportunity to toss a pair of Hefty Poison Pots and one Hefty Rot Pot at Radahn, which starts to eat away at the boss’s health. Next, the player uses the Mimic Veil item to transform into a statue as Radahn's health bar depletes. He eventually suffers enough damage to enter his second phase as Radahn, Consort of Miquella, but he seemingly cannot tell that the suspiciously placed statue in front of him is actually his enemy. Radahn then starts walking away from the transformed player, seemingly phasing in and out of existence before vanishing completely.
This results in Radahn’s health bar going all the way down and the player winning the boss battle, all without actually engaging the giant warrior in combat. Gamers have discovered interesting ways to defeat Elden Ring: Shadow of Erdtree’s powerful final boss, but the idea of tricking Promised Consort Radahn into growing bored and abandoning the fight before it starts is one of the most novel approaches to appear online since the popular DLC was released.
