An Elden Ring fan is showing off their impressive sculpture of in-game boss Malenia, with each detail crafted intricately from clay and painted. The beloved open-world RPG saw overwhelming success following its initial release in 2022, racking up several awards and being widely hailed as one of the best games of all-time. Elden Ring captured the prestigious "Game of the Year" award during its launch year and would later add another nomination for the award with the Shadow of the Erdtree DLC. Now, an Elden Ring fan has crafted an exquisite tribute to a fan-favorite enemy.
Elden Ring's wide array of bosses come in many shapes and sizes, with several enemies featured in the RPG becoming some of FromSoftware's most iconic foes. Many of Elden Ring's main bosses come as fallen heroes or important figures from the Lands Between, like Radagon of the Golden Order and Renalla, Queen of the Full Moon. Elden Ring also boasts plenty more beasts and monstrosities like Astel and the Elden Beast for players to challenge throughout its world. One Elden Ring fan is now sharing their unique tribute to fan-favorite boss Malenia.
Elden Ring Reportedly Has Severe Performance Issues on the Nintendo Switch 2
Information from Gamescom attendees claims that, in its current state, the Nintendo Switch 2 version of Elden Ring is supposedly "terrible."
A post from Reddit user Mr-Velmont depicts an impressive clay sculpture of Elden Ring boss Malenia. The post features several images of each side of the Malenia statue and gives a closer look at the finer elements of the sculpture, showcasing the finely-crafted details like the grooves in her jacket and the carvings on Malenia's sword. The user shares another photo of the sculpture in the post's replies showing the process of creating the figure, carving some of the details into Malenia's hair before painting the statue.
Elden Ring Fan Builds Impressive Clay Malenia Sculpture
The user's stunning Malenia sculpture saw fans eager to praise the impressive Elden Ring project, alongside some wanting to purchase one of their own. The replies are filled with different comments praising the Malenia sculpture and even questioning if it's real and not a 3D model, which elicited the previously-mentioned sculpting photo. One fan suggested Elden Ring's dragons as a future subject and implied they would purchase more sculptures from the user, which the user quickly rejected on the basis of licensing issues with FromSoftware.
Even more than three years after Elden Ring's initial debut, both FromSoftware and the game's fans have continued to update and improve the game. FromSoftware officially launched Elden Ring's first major DLC expansion last year, with the previously-mentioned Shadow of the Erdtree bringing a new map, new weapons, and more. The game's modding community has also seen major strides throughout recent years, with one modder even trying to bring The Elder Scrolls' Morrowind into Elden Ring. With new DLC and the recent spinoff, Elden Ring has solidified itself as a mainstay of FromSoftware's lineup for years to come.
