Metyr, Mother of Fingers can be found in the Finger Ruins of Miyr, accessible via a hidden tunnel underneath Count Ymir’s throne in the Cathedral. Here is how to reach and unlock this passage.

Elden Ring - Shadow Of The Erdtree - Path To Cathedral Of Manus Metyr and Count Ymir
  1. Starting from the Highroad Cross Site of Grace, head northeast to the Moorth Ruins.
  2. Look for a small tunnel heading down into the depths under the ruins. This path will lead players to Bonny Village.
  3. Go through Bonny Village and take the northeastern bridge to find the Bridge Leading to Village Site of Grace.
  4. Take the road north and turn south at the fork near Rabbath’s Rise Tower to find the Cathedral of Manus Metyr.
  5. Talk to Count Ymir, who is sitting on the throne, to trigger the start of his questline. He will give players a Hole-Laden Necklace and a Ruins Map and task them with ‘ringing the bell’.

  6. Head to the Finger Ruins of Rhia in the southwestern corner of the map and ring the bell by interacting with the pillar in the center of the chasm.

  7. Return to Ymir to receive the Ruins Map (2nd) and head to the Finger Ruins of Dheo to ring the second bell.
  8. Return to Ymir again to get the Ruins Map (3rd).
  9. Wait at the nearby Site of Grace till nightfall to find Ymir missing from his throne.
  10. Interact with the throne to reveal a ladder leading to the Finger Ruins of Miyr.
  11. Ring the third and last bell at the far end of these Ruins to be transported to Metyr, Mother of Finger’s boss arena.

While you can enter the Finger Ruins of Miyr before ringing the second bell, the Metyr, Mother of Fingers boss fight will not be accessible. Players will only be able to find Swordhand of Night Anna wielding the Claws of Night here.

After defeating Metyr, players will receive the Remembrance of the Mother of Fingers, which can then be used to obtain either the Gazing Finger or the Staff of the Great Beyond by talking to Enia at the Roundtable Hold.
