Summary

  • Deadly Poison Perfume Bottles are overpowered again, causing unexpected Death Blight build-up with the Eclipse Shotel in Elden Ring.
  • Fans are flocking to exploit this broken build in Elden Ring, using deadly combos like the Deadly Poison Perfume Bottle and Eclipse Shotel.
  • Similar to an old bug involving Fire's Deadly Sin incantation, this bug in Shadow of the Erdtree DLC is causing chaos with instant death effects.

An Elden Ring: Shadow of the Erdtree bug has made Perfume Bottles overpowered once again, with the Deadly Poison Perfume Bottle's Ash of War causing unexpected Death Blight build-up with the Eclipse Shotel. While this new bug is a bit more tricky to recreate as compared to the previous trick, it is still equally effective considering Death Blight causes instant death in Elden Ring.

Elden Ring fans are always looking for the best weapon and item combinations to maximize their damage output in the game. Right now, fans have been sticking to the Shadow of the Erdtree DLC's Backhand Blade or the Milady, but some classics such as the Blasphemous Blade are equally viable too. Amid that, a broken Elden Ring build has surfaced in the community.

In a new post on the Elden Ring subreddit, user OnlyWaifu highlights a new bug that has been affecting one of the Perfume Bottles in the Shadow of the Erdtree DLC. In order to exploit it, players will first need to get their hands on a Deadly Poison Perfume Bottle as well as the Eclipse Shotel. First, players should use the Ash of War on the Deadly Poison Perfume Bottle, Deadly Poison Spray, which inflicts the poison status effect on both the player and nearby NPCs. Next, players should use the Death Flare Ash of War on the Eclipse Shotel. Due to some weird interaction with the Death Blight effect on the Eclipse Shotel and the poison mist created by the Deadly Poison Perfume Bottle, all the players end up dying instantly due to Death Blight.

How To Get Deadly Poison Perfume Bottle And Eclipse Shotel

In order to get the Deadly Poison Perfume Bottle, players will need to visit Thiollier in Elden Ring Shadow of the Erdtree DLC. He is located near the Pillar Path Cross Site of Grace which is situated east of Castle Ensis. Players can purchase the item for 6,000 Runes. If players have already progressed in his questline, he can also be found in Garden of Deep Purple in Stone Coffin Fissure. As far as the Eclipse Shotel is concerned, players can get it by visiting Castle Sol which is located in the northeast part of Mountaintops of the Giants.

Fans have been experiencing deja vu since a similar Death Blight bug was ruining PvP back when the base game was released. Funnily enough, that bug also involved the Eclipse Shotel, but players had to use Fire's Deadly Sin incantation in Elden Ring along with it back in the day. The after-effects were quite similar, as the fire would somehow interact with the Eclipse Shotel and cause Death Blight. Although this bug is not as deadly considering the poison mist isn't as mobile, fans are still hoping it is fixed soon.
