The enemy you’re looking for is a Black Knight, a soldier of Messmer the Impaler. To reach this enemy, you need access to the Scadu Altus, which can be achieved by clearing through Castle Ensis, and defeating the dungeon’s main boss, Rellana Twinmoon Knight.

Next, head north from the castle to discover the Highroad Cross Site of Grace, and then ride north along the road until you encounter a Furnace Golem. Ride past the Golem and try not to draw its attention, unless you're ready for a fight. You can also refer to the map image above to determine the direction of your path.

What you’re looking for is an enemy encampment located on an elevated region to the west of the road. Towards the very end of this encampment awaits the Black Knight, wielding the coveted Black Steel Twinblade. This enemy can be extremely challenging to fell as they are also surrounded by several other foes who can make your life difficult.

Defeating the Black Knight drops the Black Steel Twinblade. Unlike other Black Knights in the game, this enemy only spawns once in this specific location. Once defeated, they won't spawn here anymore. If you're interested in acquiring the Black Knight armor set, you'll need to farm the Black Knights in Castle Ensis.

The Black Steel Twinblade is a faith-based weapon, and it scales equally well with strength, dexterity, and faith.

The twinblade comes equipped with the Spinning Slash Ash of War, but you can apply any of your favorite applicable Ash of War to personalize the blade. The weapon’s effectiveness can be further enhanced by infusing it with a powerful affinity. You can upgrade this weapon to +25 using Smithing Stones and an Ancient Dragon Smithing Stone.
