Oil-Soaked Tear in the Elden Ring DLC is a new Crystal Tear that coats nearby enemies in oil, allowing players to deal 20% additional Fire Damage. This Tear lasts 60 seconds and can only be refreshed after resting at a Site of Grace. This Tear synergizes quite well with the new Messmer Flame Incantations and the new Flame Art Ashes of War.
This guide includes details on the location of the Oil-Soaked Tear in Shadow of the Erdtree, as well as tips on defeating the Furnace Golem that drops the item.

Can be mixed in the Flask of Wondrous Physick. The resulting concoction temporarily causes the imbiber to break out in an oily sweat, soaking nearby enemies in oil. Oil-soaked enemies are highly susceptible to fire damage.
To get the Oil-Soaked Tear in Shadow of the Erdtree, you must reach Castle-Wastering Hole. From the Shadow Keep Main Gate, go through the doorway and defeat the Golden Hippopotamus. Go through the doorway on the left and follow this path past the numerous Messmer Soldiers. You will reach the dining room, which you can navigate to the outer courtyard.
At the end of the bridge, you can go down the ladder on the left side, which takes you down to a waterfall that you can go through. Inside, you can find a room with a painting and an illusionary wall on the right. Go through the wall and go down to interact with the coffin to be teleported to a different area in Scadu Altus. Head southeast from the Castle-Watering Hole Site of Grace, and a Furnace Golem will rise from the ground. Defeating this Furnace Golem will reward you with an Oil-Soaked Tear.
Tips On Defeating The Furnace Golem
Furnace Golems are mini-bosses in Shadow of the Erdtree, with a significant health pool compared to the other enemies and bosses. Bringing them down is no easy endeavor, so you must summon your trusty Spectral Steed and be ready to jump up the numerous stomp attacks. There are many new Incantations and Sorceries that you can use to dish out a severe amount of damage.
Pest-Thread Spears and
Impenetrable Thorns are both spells that can be acquired in the latter half of the game and can pack a serious punch to these giants if the player has high stats.
If you are facing trouble, do not be shy to summon a Spirit Ash to help you fight these Golems.
Apart from the Fire Stomp attacks, this Golem also has an attack where it charges up the fire inside its furnace head and can follow up with two attacks. The first one is homing fireballs that can hit the player one after the other, and getting hit by multiple will take out your entire health bar. In the second attack, the Golem goes down on its knees and lowers its head to summon a circling wave of fire from the furnace. The mini-boss also has a grab it can do if the player decides to stay close to it during the majority of the fight.
