With the release of the Shadow of the Erdtree expansion comes even more blades, bows and, at long last, bottles. While the ability to mix potent alchemical enhancements existed in the base game, they served primarily as buffs, not weapons. The DLC finally gives Tarnished the chance to fling the same sparkling, lavender-scented but incredibly deadly decoctions around as the enigmatic denizens of Leyndell. There are plenty of Perfume Bottles in Elden Ring: Shadow of the Erdtree, but some are arguably better than others.

5 Firespark Perfume Bottle

Reliable Fire Damage For Dexterity Builds

Found south of the Castle Front Site of Grace.

Offering an elemental option for Dexterity-based builds, the Firespark Perfume Bottle serves as the Tarnished's introduction to the new weapon class. These bubbling bottles throw out a flammable powder that sparks and deals fire damage in much the same way as the enemy that wields them in the base game.

Gaining a respectable B scaling in Dexterity at weapon level +25, this is a great choice to freshen up a build if the usual katanas and curved swords have become a bit stale. This weapon can be found in a chest guarded by Perfumers and Messmer Soldiers by riding south of the Castle Front Site of Grace, and it is also infusable with Ashes of War.

Cunning players have always loved concocting devilish status builds to torment their fellow Tarnished in the base game, and the Deadly Poison Perfume Bottle continues that grand tradition. This pungent potion scales with Dexterity and Arcane and toxifies the area around the user, causing the Poison status effect to start building up.

The downside is that this also poisons the player - but in combination with the Mushroom Crown and the Kindred of Rot's Exultation talisman, it can have truly terrifying results. It's also a Somber Smithing Stone weapon and caps out at +10, where its Dexterity and Arcane scaling both reach a C. The Deadly Poison Perfume Bottle can be purchased from Thiollier near the Pillar Path Cross, east of Castle Ensis.

The Madness status effect in Elden Ring has long been the scourge of PVP. Now, players can carry it around with them across the Lands Between in a super-convenient travel flask. The Frenzyflame Perfume Bottle deals fire damage much like the Firespark variant, but this one steadily builds up a debuff that obliterates enemy HP and FP when it procs, leaving foes literally out of their Mind (the stat governing the player's magic bar).

When upgraded to the maximum of +25, the Frenzyflame Perfume Bottle scales with all damage stats except Arcane and notably gains the most from Dexterity at a C. While all builds can benefit from what is essentially a portable nuke, Intelligence and Faith-based characters will squeeze the most damage out of it. Servants of chaos may spread their influence by finding this weapon by looting a corpse from the northern part of the Abandoned Church in the Abyssal Woods.

The witches and wizards of the Lands Between will be happy to know they get their very own brand of scent. The Chilling Perfume Bottle, much like previous ice-based armaments in Elden Ring, focuses on magic damage. But the real beauty of this weapon comes from its Frostbite build up, a status effect that instantly drains a chunk of health from enemies and increases the damage they take by 20% for 30 seconds. In the right hands, this can be an incredibly potent addition to any Sorcery-based build, letting one's shiny blue missiles decimate boss health bars in mere seconds.

Once it's upgraded to +25, it'll receive a C scaling in both Dexterity and Intelligence, two stats that mages definitely want to invest in for overall damage and spell-casting speed. That said, all builds can benefit from Frostbite. The Chilling Perfume Bottle can be found at the Lamenter's Gaol in what is essentially a meat freezer for Warrior Jar innards.
