Mass Of Putrescence Spell Overview & Stat Requirements

the inventory entry for Mass of Putrescence in Elden Ring: Shadow Of The Erdtree.

Sorcery originating from the putrid liquor of the stone coffins. In an age long past, Death was burned by ghostflame. Even the remains of tainted flesh were given equal treatment in death.

Once cast, Mass of Putrescence will cause an area to explode, and a wave of ghostflame will come out, which is hard to avoid. One of the drawbacks of this Sorcery is that you can not cast it while at close-range. As the range on the Sorcery is decent, you can do it from afar on a group of enemies and finish them without having to risk a melee engagement. Most of the enemies in the DLC are quite aggressive, so you will have to be mindful of spacing before starting the cast.

The Mass of Putrescence Sorcery costs 41 FP to cast and can be charged for greater potency. To equip Mass of Putrescence, you must have 1 Memory Slot available.

Flings a great mass of putrescence that explodes shortly after impact, raining ghostflame upon the area.

Mass of Putrescence Map Location in Shadow of the Erdtree

To get the Mass of Putrescence in Shadow of the Erdtree, you must reach Stone Coffin Fissures. This is located on the southwest side of the map below Charo's Hidden Grave. There will be a giant crater that you can drop down from and proceed further into the Fissures. Follow the main path, and you will soon reach the Fissure Cross Site of Grace. From here, make your way across the stone bridges, avoiding the Gravebirds and Abnormal Stone Cluster. There should be another Grace up ahead if you keep following the straight main path.

You will reach a stone surface that you can walk along and get to the other side where the Mass of Putrescence Sorcery is lying on the floor.
