The War Dead Catacombs in Elden Ring can be found north of where the epic boss fight against Radahn takes place. To find it, players can fast travel to the Starscourge Radahn Site of Lost Grace and then ride Torrent north to the water's edge to find the entrance to the catacombs.
Getting around the Catacombs itself isn't that bad, as it's not that confusing to figure out, but the problem is that there are many spirit enemies that will constantly try to attack players while they explore, and it can be quite the nuisance. Basically, players cannot stop running through the catacombs unless they plan on dying repeatedly. Here's how to get through the War-Dead Catacombs and get to the boss fast and easy.
War Dead Catacombs Walkthrough
Finding the Lever
To enter the boss room at the end of the catacombs, Elden Ring players will first need to find the location of the lever. Just follow the steps listed below, starting from the dungeon's Site of Lost Grace. Don't worry about killing any enemies, as it's best to just avoid them entirely, dodging any incoming attacks, and healing when necessary.
- From the Site of Lost Grace, follow the path until players enter the main room with a bunch of enemies fighting each other.
- There will be a broken staircase on the right, but skip it, and head up the staircase further down on the right.
- An enemy across the way will try to attack with a ranged move, but just avoid it and go into the hallway on the left.
- Go all the way to the end of the hallway and turn right.
- Again, keep running down the next path until players hit a wall, and then turn right.
- In this hallway, there will be a small window on the right-hand side. Jump out of it to land on a platform.
- Turn left, run up the staircase, and then go through the small window where an enemy awaits.
- Turn left, and Elden Ring players will see the lever to open the boss door. Pull the lever with the interact button, and drop down to the main floor. Now, players can head into the path to the west, and keep going until they reach the boss gate.
Players will need to defeat the 
Putrid Tree Spirit boss, which can be very difficult for low-leveled Tarnished. Once the fight is done and over with, players will be rewarded with the Redmane Knight Ogha Legendary Spirit Ashes and a 
Golden Seed.
Below the main area of the catacombs, players can also find a chest containing the Collapsing Stars Sorcery, but they'll have to deal with the scarlet rot infestation.
