As such, understanding how to effectively use Talismans is vital to players, especially considering the overwhelming hardships of Elden Ring.
Talismans work to support players by offering a particular boon of significant power. However, not every effect proves to benefit the numerous available classes, builds, and playstyles of Elden Ring. Thus, players must have a keen understanding of their characters to determine what Talisman may suit them best. For instance, an Arrow's Sting Talisman increases the attack power of arrows and bolts, thus proving useful to ranged weapon builds. With such a vast number of Talismans available, players are sure to find one that suits their preference. Using the most viable Talisman for one's character will have a tangible impact on their performance.
A single Talisman can benefit players greatly, so having more is exceedingly advantageous. Fortunately, players can receive an item known as a 
Talisman Pouch, which increases the number of Talismans players can equip. There are three Talisman Pouches available to players, allowing them to equip up to four Talismans upon obtaining them all. With this, players can further improve their character, making them nearly unstoppable to the average foe.
Where To Find Talismans
Talismans, being such powerful items, are not so easily obtainable. Players can acquire them by defeating bosses, slaying formidable enemies, purchasing them from vendors, or discovering them in the Lands Between. Most Talismans are only obtainable through particular methods, meaning that players may have no other option but to undergo challenging situations. For instance, players can only obtain the Flamedrake Talisman by slaying the Beastman of Farum Azula.
In addition, players cannot upgrade Talismans but must instead find better versions. So, players must commit additional time and effort to receive the best of these items. Despite the hardships of acquiring Talismans, they are well worth the arduous struggle necessary.
