Blaidd the Half-Wolf is an NPC that's described as Ranni's blade in Elden Ring. The Witch sends him on a mission to find Nokron's hidden treasure. Unfortunately, Blaidd doesn't know where the entrance is, and since Nokron is an underground area, he suggests that Tarnished meet him in the Map (Siofra River).

Siofra River is a large underground area in Elden Ring. You'll need to go through a lot in order to find Blaidd. He can be found in the deepest part of the Siofra River. Even after Tarnished complete the task and talk to Preceptor Seluvis, Blaidd will still stand in the same spot. He only moves when the quest to defeat Starscourge Radahn starts, when Blaidd will move to Redmane Castle.

Updated September 11th, 2024 by Jacob Buchalter: Ranni's questline in Elden Ring has to be one of the longest and most complex NPC questlines in the game overall. Even the frustrating NPC side quests added in the Shadow of the Erdtree DLC have fewer steps and are less convoluted (though they're a lot easier to miss or fail to complete). A lot of the early steps of this questline involves finding Blaidd as he searches for the Nokron and the Fingerslayer Blade for Ranni, and one stop for him is in the Siofra River Well. It can be a bit tough to find Blaidd here, especially if you aren't aware he even ends up here, so let's go over his exact location in this underground city.

Siofra River Well Elevator Location

In The Mistwood Outskirts, Near Where You First Met Blaidd

Upon accepting to serve Ranni the Witch, she'll ask Tarnished to speak with three people on the first floor, and one of them is Blaidd. The wolf-like 'shadow' of Ranni will be standing near a wall in his spectral form. When you speak to him here he'll let you know that his next destination is the Siofra River in order to search for Nokron, the Eternal City.

You'll want to meet Blaidd in this location, and in order to do so you'll need to travel to the Mistwood Outskirts Site of Grace, on the eastern side of Limgrave. Once you teleport to this Site of Grace, hop on Torrent, mark the nearby Minor Erdtree (Mistwood) on your map, and head towards it.

Go just a bit north of the Minor Erdtree and you'll find a small round building with a pressure plate elevator inside. Ride the elevator and it'll take you (albeit slowly) all the way down to the Siofra River Well. Just be very careful when heading towards this building, as the area it's in is rife with one of Elden Ring's most frustrating enemies, Runebears.

Where To Find Blaidd

In Elden Ring's Siofra River Well

Light up the Site of Lost Grace just in front of the elevator, AKA the Siofra River Well Depths Site of Grace, and head deeper into the area. In the distance, you'll big archway surrounded by destroyed pillars. Go through this entrance, dealing with or avoiding the Clayman along the way, and climb the stairs to the left. Keep climbing this way until you reach a giant waterfall. There should be a small entrance near the waterfall – enter it and you'll find that there's another elevator inside you'll need to ride.

Once the elevator stops, you'll essentially be in the Siofra River Bank, and you can ride Torrent here, so hop on and explore around to find some Giant Grabs, Ancestral Worshippers, and some general materials. Ride north in the watery swamp until you find another Site of Lost Grace, the Siofra River Bank Site of Grace, in the larger Siofra River area. Walk to the nearby Hallowhorn Grounds staircase east of the River Bank Site of Grace and pick up the item from the corpse near the stairs, which of course is the map fragment for Siofra River.

From this same staircase, walk west and climb the small slope you'll find here. At the top of this slope, you'll be able to see Blaidd himself in the distance near a cliff. Continue forward and talk to Blaidd here to progress his and Ranni's questline. Make sure to exhaust his dialogue before re-loading the area, or else he won't move to his next location.
