With names such as Willpower and Luck, understanding the Attributes in Oblivion: Remastered can be confusing at first, especially with so much going on. Attributes are the main stats in Oblivion: Remastered and can determine how much Health a character has, how much damage they deal, and their conversation skills, for example. They can be seen in the second tab of the Character menu.
Oblivion Remastered: Ideas For Naming Your Character
These ideas and tips will help players find the best name for their Oblivion: Remastered character.
Attribute values in green or red mean they are temporarily buffed or weakened.
All Attributes In Oblivion Remastered
There are 8 Attributes in Oblivion: Remastered, with these typically ranging from 0 to 100, although certain effects can temporarily push these beyond 100.
Attributes are determined by a number of factors, such as Race, Birthsigns, and Class. Upon leveling up, players will also be able to spend 12 Attribute points where they like.
It appears that each Attribute no longer impacts 3 skills, as was the case in the original game. Nonetheless, skills are still affected indirectly by Attributes.
Strength
- Increases: Encumbrance and slightly raises maximum Health.
- Damage Increase: With heavy weapons and fists.
The main benefit of Strength in Oblivion is that melee attacks will deal more damage. This includes Longswords, Claymores, Maces, War-Axes, Warhammers, and fists. Players will also be able to carry more, and will see their HP increase slightly, making them harder to kill.
Intelligence
- Increases: Maximum Magicka.
By having more Magicka, players can not only cast more spells, but more powerful ones, which cost high amounts of Magicka.
Willpower
- Increases: Magicka regeneration & greatly increases maximum Fatigue.
With increased Magicka regen, spellcasters will fare better in longer fights, and with vastly more Fatigue they can perform more physical actions before running out of stamina.
Agility
- Increases: Fatigue regeneration and slightly raises maximum Fatigue.
- Damage Increase: With Daggers, Shortswords, and Bows.
For those who don't want to run out of Fatigue while fighting, dodging, and running, points into Agility will help. It is also essential for those using light melee weapons and bows as it determines their damage.
Speed
- Increases: Movement speed.
Beyond being able to walk, run, and sprint faster, players will also be able to swim faster with a higher Speed stat.
Endurance
- Increases: Greatly increases maximum Health and determines Health regeneration.
Essential for surviving combat, Endurance has the added bonus of determining how much your Health increases by when leveling up.
Personality
- Increases: How much people like you.
Personality helps with all aspects of conversation. Characters who look favorably on you will be more likely to divulge information and offer better deals.
Luck
Affects all your Skills, either increasing or decreasing them. Above 50 Luck events will be more likely to go in your favor, whereas below 50 Luck, favor will be against you.
