One of the best Restoration spells in Oblivion Remastered for the social side of the game is the Absorb Skill: Mercantile spell. When cast on a merchant, you will reduce your target's Mercantile skill and bolster your own by the same amount – without causing the merchant to become aggressive.
This will let you get better deals on trades with the vendor, but more importantly, it lets you use the Absorb Skill: Mercantile effect at the Arcane University's spellmaking altars.
With this, you can eventually create a custom spell that will absorb all of a target's Mercantile skill and boost your own, all but guaranteeing the highest sale prices and lowest buy prices with all vendors.

5 Cure Poison

Like its more useful cousin Cure Disease, Cure Poison is a spell that will instantly remove temporary Poison effects active on your character. You only need to be an Apprentice of Restoration to learn this spell.
Oblivion Remastered: Best Early-Game Spells, Ranked
Even before entering the Arcane University in Oblivion Remastered, players have plenty of great and useful spells to choose from.
Poison effects are usually temporary, and for the most part, Poisons in Oblivion Remastered aren't deadly – unless you eat a Poisoned Apple or are inflicted with a particularly large poison stack at high levels.
Pick up Cure Poison to save yourself some headache in combat and quickly clear yourself of damage over time and stat-reducing effects.

4 Greater Fortify Magicka

Greater Fortify Magicka is one of the best spells for spellcaster builds in Oblivion Remastered as it grants a huge amount of Max Magicka for a whole minute. You must be at least a Journeyman of Restoration to learn this spell.
It costs about 185 Magicka by default, which might seem like it cancels out the 60 extra Magicka the spell grants. But you can quickly recoup this spent resource with Potions of Sorcery and similar potions, and gain the ability to cast spells you might not normally have enough Magicka to cast.
How To Get Greater Fortify Magicka
To learn the Greater Fortify Magicka spell, Oblivion Remastered players must purchase it from either Marc Guilitte at the Anvil Mage's Guild or Avrus Adras, the Priest of the Chapel of Zenithar in Leyawiin.
3 Heal Superior Wounds

Heal Superior Wounds is a very powerful Healing spell in Oblivion Remastered, but keen Oblivion fans may notice that this is not technically the highest Health-restoring spell in the game.
When compared to Heal Legendary Wounds, which heals about 180 Health in total for almost 500 Magicka, Heal Superior Wounds is a much more Magicka-efficient spell. For about half the cost, and just over half the Healing amount, Heal Superior Wounds is more than enough to heal you through high-level content.
Oblivion Remastered: Best Defensive Spells, Ranked
Surviving in Oblivion Remastered will be impossible without a good defense. These spells will come in handy for most builds.
Heal Superior Wounds heals about 100 Health over four seconds, for about 250 Magicka. If you have high Magicka recovery and lots of potions, you can chain-cast this to heal yourself up from 0 to maximum in a matter of seconds.
Of course, if you have a particularly large Health pool, you will have to cast this spell more often, but it's still more efficient than Heal Legendary Wounds.
How To Get Heal Superior Wounds
To learn the Heal Superior Wounds spell, Oblivion Remastered players can purchase it from a handful of priests at the Great Chapels of Bruma, Chorrol, Cheydinhal, or Leyawiin. Alternatively, the guildmaster of the Mage's Guild, Raminus Polus, also sells this spell, but you must first gain entry into the Arcane University.
2 Minor Magic Resistance
Requires: Journeyman of Restoration

Minor Magic Resistance grants a small, but noticeable, increase to your Magic Resistance. For 20 seconds, this spell will increase your Resist Magic stat by 15%. That might not seem like much, but it can mean all the difference between getting one-shot by a high-level Spectre enemy spell or surviving through the hit.
If you stack this with other effects (like the Breton racial passive or the passive effects of the Mundane Ring), this spell allows players to easily push themselves up to 100% Resist Magic.
This makes you invulnerable to all incoming Magic damage. Considering how many enemies are capable of casting spells in Oblivion, this all but guarantees your survival against spellcasters.
Like Absorb Skill: Mercantile, the 15% effect of this spell can be increased if you make a custom spell at the Arcane University with the Minor Magic Resistance effect selected.

One of the worst things that can happen to your character is getting afflicted with one of the game's many Diseases, including Porphyric Hemophilia which turns you into a Vampire after three days. There are a lot of other Diseases that will inflict permanent stat decreases or other negative effects on your character until you are able to cure yourself.
With Cure Disease in your spellbook, you'll never have to worry about rushing back to a Chapel or frantically searching through your inventory for a Cure Disease potion. Just cast this low-cost spell as a Journeyman of Restoration and you'll be good to continue adventuring through the most dangerous Vampire-infested caves of the game.
