The thrills of the Thieves Guild continue forward with The Elven Maiden quest in Oblivion Remastered, which tasks players with something a little less generous than stealing tax records. The Elven Maiden quest for the Thieves Guild requires players to steal a unique statue in a tomb, effectively grave robbing a place that might be haunted.
Untaxing the Poor Walkthrough in Oblivion Remastered
Working with the Thieves Guild will require finesse, and this quest will have players sneak through army barracks to obtain tax records.
If players want to successfully loot the quest item needed in The Elven Maiden, and figure out how to not lose any gold in the process, then they've come to the right place for this Oblivion Remastered quest to form the perfect Thieves Guild member.
How to Start the Elven Maiden Quest for the Thieves Guild in Oblivion Remastered
In order to start The Elven Maiden quest for the Thieves Guild, players must have fenced a total of 100 Gold across various Thieves Guild Fences. At this point in the Thieves Guild questline, players only have access to one Fence, which is Ongar the World-Weary, who can be found in Olav's Tap & Tack store in Bruma. The easiest way to fence 100 Gold's worth of items is to rob jewelry stores, with the easiest being that of Red Diamond Jewelry in the Imperial City's Market District after dark, although decent lockpicking skills with be required, so perhaps grab the Skeleton Key. After fencing 100 Gold, players can head to the Waterfront District of the Imperial City and speak to Armand Christophe after midnight to ask about Thieves Guild Special Jobs.
How to Successfully Steal the Bust of Llathasa Indarys in Oblivion Remastered
With The Elven Maiden quest now acquired, players are going to want to head inside Cheyhindal and ask around for the location of the Bust of Llathasa. Asking any beggar and paying them 15 gold coins will reveal the location, but players who don't want to part with a single gold coin can just head straight to the Great Chapel of Arkay. Inside the Great Chapel of Arkay, players can head down the south stairs to find the Door to Chapel Undercroft, which is locked behind a Hard Difficulty door. Before entering the Chapel Undercroft, it's important to remove weapons and clothing, as players will need the highest sneak possible to avoid detection from the Chapel Guard and the woman who patrols inside, as killing them will force players to pay a Blood Price to the Thieves Guild, which costs 1,000 Gold.
The easiest way to steal the Bust of Llthasa is to unequip all gear and sneak walk to the first left room in the Chapel Undercroft. Making a save here is a great idea in case of error. The guard will often patrol, so wait until they pass through the next room before heading down. It's also important not to try to loot Llathasa's Tomb, as it's not worth the jewelry inside, and it will spawn the hostile Llatha's Spirit, a ghost enemy that will alert the guard and try to kill the player. Players should sneak in, grab Llatha's Bust, which is beside the tomb, and then get out. If players are detected and do not wish to try again, then simply grab the bust and run away to avoid paying a fine or going to jail.
How to Frame Myvryna Arano and Find Armand Christophe in Oblivion Remastered
Now that players have Llatha's Bust, they will want to return to the Waterfront District of the Imperial City. However, the area is swarming with guards, and Armand Christophe is nowhere to be found. To begin, walk around the district until Methredhel finds the player, but if she does not find the player, then she can be found in her house. Where she will tell players to frame Myvryna Aranot to bring back Armand Christophe.
In order to frame Myvryna Arano, players will need to sneak into her house in the Waterfront District after picklocking her door, and then upon Myvryna's Cupboard on the right of her bed, where they can place Llatha's Bust inside. Now, sneak out and speak to Hieronymus Lex, who will patrol the Waterfront District. Players will need to tell him of the Bust of Llathasa Indarys, but he will only believe the player if he has a Disposition of 70+, which can be achieved through the Persuasion Wheel. After framing Myvryna and following Hieronymus Lex to the crime, players can wait until the next midnight to find Armand Christophe in his usual spot, where he will give players 100 Gold and promote them to the rank of Bandit.
